Size

So far so good.  Turns off like it states it would when full.  The tank fills up fast so may add a hose during more humid months.  Solid, compact machine.  Only had to attach wheels so was very easy to assemble.

I bought this because my home tends to be a bit humid most all of the year. After unpacking, the only thing you have to put on it is the wheels, which is very easy to do. Being able to roll it to different areas of my home is terrific. The first time you use it, if you have significant humidity, it will fill up rather quickly, and the more you use it, the less you have to empty it because it will keep the humidity at a stable level. It has a variety of settings, which is nice. You can set the humidity to the percentage you would like or you can have it run continuously, for example. 

It is not as quiet as I would like, which is the only complaint I have about it, but it is definitely not annoyingly noisy, in my opinion. It is a great dehumidifier!

A great purchase with lots of settings!

We bought this dehumidifier to use in our unfinished basement.  Had another brand of the same capacity that lasted about 12 years- naturally just used during humid months here in Midwest.  This unit so far is really keeping up, much more quiet than other, not that it's in a room where we spend time, but I would listen to make sure it was functioning to know if it needed emptied.   So far, the only quirk I have noticed is that when vessel needs emptied, and unit has stopped working due to "full status", you should turn power off, wait a few seconds then remove vessel or the water that is remaining in upper part will leak out into opening.  This isn't an issue here due to concrete floor.  But if someone was using in carpeted area, it could cause some problems.  The first time it happened I didn't realize excess water draining.  Then next time I checked, couldn't figure out where water had come from as it ran across floor.  I would definitely recommend, just use caution.  You can't beat that price for something not used all months of the year.  Thanks Walmart!

I would have given this thing a 5 rating, but due to the collection drawer not easy to be inserted, it causes the float to not work sometimes and you walk down to a puddle under the thing.  It's not a huge deal to me as I'm just using it in an unfinished basement, but if you have a finished basement, stay on top of this thing.  When you wiggle the drawer in, make sure you get it to go the last inch as even as possible.

Watch the unit closely.

This is a replacement  for the same model we had but  now has a cheaper design. There no longer is a handle for ease of emptying on the water "bucket" where the water is collected. This latest model makes it very awkward to empty. Compared to the original model we had for 7 years, this model is lighter and has a cheaper all around design. 
This model still efficiently removes moisture but lacks the sturdy substance and ease of use. 
Based on the last model's performance I would recommend it, but had I realized the changes, I would not have automatically purchased it.

Disappointed

Bought a Soleus 45 pint unit in 2016.  Worked great in the basement for four years.  This year is runs, but does not collect water.  So, into the trash.

Good While It Operates

unit would intermittently not turn on, then when it did it filled the bucket and overflowed onto the floor

I purchased my unit 3 years ago, model HMT-D45E-A.  I use it downstairs for a few months each summer.  It might run about 8 hours a day during this time.  I like the options it has and it was working great for my area BUT I plugged it in yesterday and apparently the refrigerant is gone.  There is no fix for it so now I have to buy a new one.   I replaced  my dinosaur unit with this one which was still working and was at least 30 years old but not energy efficient.  My advice for the money is don't buy a SoleusAir brand!!!
