Ease Of Installation

Sound Quality

Allows for room-specific sound customization.

Setup process is straightforward with minimal connection issues.

The Beam is a great sound-bar and even better when paired with two Sonos one's and a sub - wow! I read and watched a lot of sound-bar reviews and ended up purchasing one (included surrounds and a sub) that I was really impressed with. Movies were great, but dialogue was not as crisp as I would have liked for a tv. I decided to bring it back and ended up buying the Sonos beam. It checked the criteria I was looking for -especially after matching it up with surrounds and a sub. I spent more than I wanted but I got what I was looking for!!

Expensive but worth it!!

Samsclub.com

Sound is very clear. Good bye close caption. I would like to add the additional surround sound speakers. Good thing I can add the to the system .

NICE

This is a very solid sound bar. If you're looking for a dynamite surround system without breaking the bank, get the Beam + the SL set from Sam's and save big versus direct. You won't regret it.

Sonos hits the mark with ARC Jr.

Always wanted to buy a Sonos Sound System but the brand is quite pricey. This Beam is my starter piece. The sound is high Stero Quality with just this one piece. I will purchase the two in ceiling speaker and Amp. Sam's Club had the best price on this item.

Love It!

I've been very satisfied with the sound quality, music app playability, ease of accessories add-ons, and easy hook up.

Very Satisfied

Very easy to hook up and operate. Sonos has a very helpful phone app that customizes the sound for the room where the Beam will be used.

Easy install and sounds amazing

This speaker, though pricey, does what I want it to do. I was having problems with my old speaker blasting background music and not being able to hear the dialogue well. The Sonos solved that, so I am happy. Set up was difficult because I had the wrong version of Android on my cell phone. A Sonos rep was able to walk me through the steps using a different smart phone. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Problem Solver

Bought this because of the speech enhancement feature. Returned it because it lacked bass. Bought the sonos arc instead. It has good bass.

Lacks bass

The Good: Crystal clear sound from the Beam, easy to use Sonos App, and Google\Alexa availability. Price = You get what you pay for in sound quality and longevity. Expandability of the Sonos ecosystem.
The Bad: Having no pass through HDMI port leaves people that have TVs older than 2018 with downgraded Dolby experience. No DTS support. No Chromecast support. High Cost of the Sonos Ecosystem.

Conclusion: The price of the Sonos Ecosystem is unsettlingly, but doable if Sonos included more HDMI pass through port, Chromecast and DTS support. I really wanted to dive into the Sonos Ecosystem with the purchase of the Beam, Gen 3 Subs, Arc, and SL Ones, but the lack of flexibility given the price is not worth it. I have an amazing $4000 4K 3D Samsung TV that I got in 2015 with HDMI ARC connection plus another 2017 4K Samsung TV, but losing the ability to enjoy the varied formats, not being able to get lossless Dolby or DTS, the cost of the Sonos Ecosystem is not worth the price. I will replace my home theater receiver with sound bar surround system, but it will not be with the Sonos Ecosystem. Sadly, I am returning the Sonos Beam.

Sound is great, but lacking key features

Disappointed. Have new Samsung smart TV. Could not get audio to play on TV. Would play music from internet. Spent several hours with Sonos and Samsung tech support without resolution. Used HDMI connections. Could see audio bars moving HDMI ARC connection which meant signal getting through. Would not play for TV. Had to return.

A Bust

sonos beam soundbar, shadow edition centered front-facing low-profile black soundbar with rounded corners, fabric grille and Sonos logo; touch controls on top, slim horizontal silhouette for TV placement, supports Wi‑Fi, HDMI ARC and Ethernet, built-in Google Assistant and Alexa, offers wider soundstage and dialogue clarity per specs; also suitable for compact living-room or desktop setups.
