We've been using this tele for couple of weeks and are very happy with it. It was easy to set up and we use it via WiFi in our bedroom. Bought the Bravia 8 for the lounge which is worth the extra money, in my opinion, but the Bravia 3 is spot on for the bedroom.

Getting to know it still

I am happy with the tv but looking online instructions are not always clear.  For example for a number days we have been getting subtitles on the screed without wanting them and tried numerous times to remove them but they still kept coming back.  Proper help would be appreciated

I'm sorry to say this this is Fourth bravo television I know if it's a software fault or me I have trouble Turn it on and turn it off with me or if it's a software problem I'm thinking about taking it back to the shop

We already had a 42" Bravia 3 so assumed going to  the 55" would have all the same features.  Wrong the newer 55" doesn't allow me to listen through headphones at the same time as my wife listens via the speakers!  We now know dual outputs is not the same as simultaneous. Expensive mistake. Sold the new one on after 5 days.

Beware,  dual is not the same as simultaneous!

I was very disappointed with the picture quality and had to return it for a full refund. I think that this TV had been used before, as the packaging was in an crumpled condition. Maybe they had found the same problem. Other Sony items have always been perfect.

Not so perfect perfection.

Bought week ago. Our tv provider box is connected and every time there is an advert or break in a programme on any apps the tv makes a loud clicking noise which is very annoying.

Disappointed

Had this tv a few weeks now and picture is great but the smart TV functions are worse than my previous Sony tv , whenever im watching YouTube on the TV the picture constantly stops and only the sound is playing and its so bad ive had to use a fire stick. Not aure if this is linked to it randomly saying it loses Internet signal but its not my Internet as no issues with the firestick,  the cec feature ive had to disable because everytime I turned the TV off it would get confused and turn the sound bar off and on and then turn the TV back on so now I have to turn sound bar off and on myself and im sure they're will be more issues to come .

Almost took this back after several resets the initial soft wear on this tv has a glitch and cannot use the or set up the Alexa app for Bravia it's lucky I have other Bravia's a as I had to work out a work around but through the tv it's useless

Buggy software

Where do I start with this terrible TV. So far the following are my findings.  Whist watching streaming it randomly stops snd thd screen goes black. Pressing play or pause has no effect and I usually have to exit the app and restart. The EPG on the aerial is fine but the one on satellite feed just doesn't work at all. The promised PVR doesn't work despite formatting and trying to register it to the TV. Having set sound to be constant over each input it varies enormously. Auto tuning works fine but Channels are assigned all over the place. Changes to Channel order or numbering is very difficult through the TV but is easier through the app. The upscaler doesn't really work with non HD channels looking very flat and almost cartoon like. The auto brightness feature seems to change colours contrast and brightness during a program but it is do noticeable it is like someone is messing with the colour chart all the time. It had taken a week to get the settings even acceptable for HD channels. Every setting seems to affect every other setting. Casting to the TV can only be done via Google home app. UHD broadcasts are very good though. I also bought a Theatre 6 sound bar and this does a good job for most listening.  Staff at Curry's are useless and just say contact the manufacturer.

Not good value for money.
