As a former Minolta user and sony convert I have experience of Sony DSLRs and SLT cameras, using A700. A77 and A99ii. I also have quite a range of A mount lenses. Decided due to changes in Hand Bagage rules needed something a little smaller for travel. Have been looking for a while and finally decided on the A7iii, which suited my needs best, Turns out its a really nice camera, great image quality and easy to set up and use, with the bonus of holding 2 cards, so I can continue ti shoot Raw and Jpeg on seperate cards as I do wth the A99. Focus speed with the 70-300 G lens is fast and acurate and supprised with the speed of the continuous shooting setting. The buffer is plenty big enough, and with a V60 rated card emptys quickly. Over all very pleased, and with an adaptor I am still able to use my A mount lenses to yjier full potential, saving having to replace them all, Although the E mounts are smaller and lighter, they will come in time.

I bought this camera last month for my start up videography business and it has outperformed its price already. Videos are incredible quality. Photos are crisp.

Best starter camera

I purchased this camera to go with a 200-600 lens for wildlife shooting. What a superb setup. Does everything I need fast focus tracking is amazing and image quality is superb.

Great setup

Excellent piece of kit and my first full frame camera
Not an experienced camera user and it will take me a while to get to know the many functions and features

Quality camera

This full frame camera really captures a whole range of color and a wide composition. Micro 4/3 are great, but this full-frame creates a whole new ball game. The Sony e-mount allows for third-party lenses if you would like to add them. All in all a great camera.

Workhorse

Excellent camera.  Exceeded expectations for quality of images, low light filming, and video quality.  My coworker pumped up why this camera was a needed upgrade, and it was ever better than described.

Superb camera

I am a bit disappointed. I probably expected too much coming from Nikons higher resolution models, but I am a bit disappointed with the clarity of the image and resolution doesn't really allow much in the way of cropping. I am hoping to improve the clarity with better lenses in due course. The menu's are still as notorious as ever, and poor compared to some other brands, however they don't take long to get used to, it's just a bit long winded. The Quick menu solves a lot of issues as does saving base settings for subjects to program dial spaces 1 and 2. I don't want to save any setting to my cards as this makes things far to complicated and prevents me from formatting the cards. It is light and comfortable to hold, not so small you feel like you're drop it (especially where wearing gloves) unlike some mirrorless bodies. Battery life is as expected, although we would all probably want more, carry extra batteries is not really a chore.

Good value, but I miss having a higher resolution

I love the camera, but the instructions are appalling and would it really have dented your profits that much to include a charging cable, and / or base and a download cable?

Good camera, awful instructions - a waste of trees

I bought this camera to explore the exciting developments in auto focusing. Compared to previous Sony models, and to other manufacturers' models, the A7iii  is so much better. But the big let down is the awful menu. Where do you find all the settings to get the most out of the auto focusing ? All over the place !
It has been trial and error finding out what works and what doesn't work. Two of us who own this camera have spent hours ” fiddling “ to find out how to track, find out when Eye AF works. It isn't intuitive, it is not a camera for the faint hearted.
When focusing using the viewfinder or in live view, the light grey box is almost impossible to see, it should be yellow or orange.
If there had been a fully articulating screen with proper touch screen using the camera would be so much easier.

Great, Game Changing Camera, Awful Menu.

I've used this camera for 16 months now. The first 14 of those were fantastic and the camera was everything I needed for photography and videography. However, after 14 months of use the sensor has started to violently and loudly shake making videography impossible as well as most slow shutter speeds impossible also. Unfortunately the electrical fault developed only 2 months after the warranty expired and I am now left with an almost unusable camera. This is a fault I have seen across the internet but has not been publicly addressed by Sony (to my knowledge). 
Until this is fixed I cannot recommend this or any Sony camera.
