When space is a must you must get this Sony Blu-ray player which does all that you want and need to enjoy in your bedroom that has a limited area and can't fit a larger dvd player. Thank you Walmart for providing this Sonly Blu-ray player that does not break the bank and still delivers what you want and enjoy in your limited space bedroom.

grandkids wanted to watch there movies, getting tired of the streaming services payments, back to how it use to be..works great and swithces easily between blue ray and regular, also comes with batteries with the remote..(you will need to buy an hdmi cord to connect to tv)

I want a simple Blu-ray player that had good upscaling for DVDs and good quality for Blu-rays. This is perfect and my TV remote that is a Hisense works with this. Has no streaming service and it states that in product description and I didn't need it either, just a heads up because people giving bad reviews because of that. Great buy for a Sony product that does what it should. The interface looks cheap but I don't mind. Thanks Sony for a good product under 100$.

I was sick of buying dvd blue ray players without a name brand. They always seem to break in were ways, my current generic dvd player plays the audio all high pitched. The one before that I did a firmware update and it stopped working. I have never had those problems with Sony. I am happy, btw no wi-fi only Ethernet cut the cord lol.

Everything I always wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately I am comparing it to a Walmart brand DVD player that I had previously purchased just a few months ago. The Walmart DVD player (Onn brand) was extremely hard to pair with my TV (over and over) and it broke after only a few months of use.  The new player automatically paired with my TV, and is much easier to use . I also hope it will last for several years instead of a couple of months.

I sold my PS5 so I needed a Blu-Ray player for my music Blu-Ray discs. I decided on this one. It's very small so I didn't need to worry about where I was going to put it. The discs look and sound great. And there's a lot of versatility with the file types supported by the USB connection. I mainly use the USB to play my high res DSD and FLAC files which also sound great.

easy plug n play . im 55 and not tech savvy.  i put in the bedroom in the rv. used a hdmi cable,  turned on television then the Blu-ray and it automatically flipped the television to the correct hdmi  input and "BOOM!" there goes the dynamite!

A no nonsense blu ray player that's easy to setup and start playing your favorite blu ray discs in no time. 

Works perfectly with my Sony Bravia tv and haven't had any issues with skipping or trouble reading either DVDs or Blu ray discs like I've experienced with other devices.

No nonsense blu ray player for a good price

I purchased the BDP-S1700K to replace my BDP-BX320 that failed after 11 years of use. The reviews are mixed on the BDP-S1700K, but based on my experience with the previous unit, i decided to take a chance. In my opinion, this player offers impressive value and reliable performance for casual viewing. However, one drawback - it is not WIFI enabled.  Also, it does not come with an HDMI cable. The model BDP-S1700U does come with one if you don't already have one as I did from the old unit.

I'm sure the product is fine, but it does not come with a cable to hook it up, so now I have to go back out and find a HDMI cable. The instruction say it's included but you get into define print and realize and there's a little Asterix saying it does not come with the K model just the U model. 

So yeah, that just feels like sloppy packaging to add a step after the fact
