yeah this is the the best TV I've had so far fantastic picture fantastic everything it fits well in with all my other Sony products I will never buy any other television other than Sony like I said fantastic I'm loyal a Sony customer for the last 30 years brilliant I like to tell my mates when I get a new TV they always take my advice and get a new one to match thank you very much keep doing what you do best Sony.

The best TV by far

I bought this TV three weeks ago to replace a Samsung 8K that died on me. This Sony feels even better, even the remote when it's glow in the dark. The only problem I have right now is that it's a bit dark during the day sometimes, but I knew that before I bought it since it's an OLED and not a mini-LED. I hope we get the option to enjoy Sony Core. We don't have it in Israel, unfortunately.

No dout SONY

We've had this tv for a few weeks now and are extremely pleased with it the picture compared to our old LG 8k is absolutely brilliant and even without a sound bar is terrific. With so many choices it can be confusing as to which one to buy, but if you choose this one I'm feel sure you won't be disappointed.

Just great 👍

I bought this to replace my 55" Sony Bravia which I enjoyed for 15 trouble free years. Therefore I knew that I could depend on the Sony Bravia range. This was very straight forward tv to set up. Simply follow the onscreen instructions. The picture quality is awesome, whether I'm watching daytime sport or evening films.

Great viewing

The Sony K-55XR8A has completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I switched it on, I was blown away by the incredible picture quality. Colours are rich, vibrant, and lifelike, while blacks are deep and detailed, creating a truly cinematic experience in my living room.

What really sets this TV apart is the stunning clarity and processing. Whether I'm watching films, live sport, or streaming high-definition content, everything looks exceptionally sharp and smooth. Fast-moving scenes are handled effortlessly, and the level of detail is remarkable.

The sound quality is equally impressive. Unlike many modern TVs that require an immediate soundbar upgrade, the K-55XR8A delivers clear dialogue, excellent balance, and a surprisingly immersive audio experience on its own.

The smart TV interface is fast, intuitive, and packed with features. Apps load quickly, navigation is seamless, and the overall user experience feels premium and refined. Sony has clearly paid attention to every detail.

Absolutely Outstanding – The Best TV I've Ever Own

I've always wanted a Sony Bravia but could never justify the price tag, once I purchased a PS5 Pro I had no choice but to and I'm so happy I did, I purchased a 77 inch Bravia 8A. The sound, picture, colours and even the amount of set up options are superb. I've never been happier with a TV purchase. One thing that irritated me about modern movies is the low voices, it can be quite hard to hear speech, the Bravia 8 has the normal compressed, nighttime modes but also a voice/speech identifying mode that allows you to increase the speech and it has mar a huge positive difference to our movie nights. I highly recommend the Bravia 8.

Fantastic picture, sound and features.

Naturally TV's are not purchased regularly and with a myriad choices I can only speak as I find. The Bravia was so well packaged and came with more than sufficient information to get it set up and operating. We were overwhelmed with the picture quality. Setting up peripheral equipment was also very easy. It was great to see so many inputs, even our old satellite cables were accommodated. I have a particular accessibility need that requires optical out - many tv's do not include this; so connecting my hearing aid connector was effortless and worked immediately. We can't fault the tv it's brilliant

Speak as I find

There is little doubt, this is an exceptional TV, Sony are now the top of their game compared to other brand which have sold themselves out to cheaper and poorer quality products. The look of the TV is ultra sleek, even the logo plays second fiddle to that amazing OLED screen. The sound, even on the standard setting is thunderously chest shaking!! just like the cinema. So why 4 stars? well 2 main and rather large criticisms, 1. The Settings: now I like to think of myself as 'tech savvy' but the amount of settings overwhelmed even me, for the average user it a constant toss up between energy use and improving the picture /sound settings which uses more power, to make the most of this TV it isn't for a novice user. 2. Data Collection: Its not just Sony who are guilty of this, but getting the TV set up is a quagmire of privacy and data notices that you agree or disagree too, I always disagree to the notices but since when did TVs because such an object to spy on their customers.

Hard to buy better with 2 BIG exceptions.

Just got this installed and am now getting to grips with its features. The picture is very good, vibrant but not as bright as I would like. Sound is processed through my amp which sometimes shows a slight delay, something to do with picture processing, maybe. I don't know.
Don't like the online startup web page type thingy, but guess I'll get used to it. After a few hours the picture can start to blink randomly, I have to unplug the TV for a few minutes to stop this. If it continues this telly is toast.

We all have our problems.

Had this two months, out of the box set-up and did a update, unfortunately there was lots of lag on screen happening on every app. Thinking I might have missed a previous update I did a factory reset and this fixed the issue.
The TV has since received another software update and now I have issues when watching Freeview HD channels when the camera pans slowly also when credits are being displayed, like a jitter.
I've done the factory reset yet again and also adjusted everything in the picture motion settings and this hasn't fixed the issue. I'm now waiting and hoping that Sony will release another update that will fix this.
Overall I do love this TV for it's sound and it's Google operating system but will maybe think twice about purchasing again.

Picture issues

What can I say - lets start with no instruction manual - great then there was the issue over the serial number - the one on the invoice was incorrect and when the real number was finally located it was on the outside of the transit box and not labelled serial number. Now lets talk about registering the product for the extended warrantee - what a nightmare - I got the impression that SONY were not interested in this - I will never buy another SONY product - ever
