My Granddaughter and her Husband has this and I loved the sound. I asked her a lot of questions about it then told MY Husband that I wanted this for Christmas this year (2025). I am spoiled so he got it and my Granddaughter helped set it up! Now football season (Cowboy's of course) is amazing to say the least! Movies sound like I am in an actual theater. Love it and would most definitely recommend ❤️

Replaced my Sony dvd surround sound I purchased around 2001 that I loved and still works just fine but rca plugs wouldn't allow tv to come through it was 1000 watt, this new one sounds even better, I'm an old guy and it was hard to understand a lot of audio on tv even with the new surround sound that was the brand of the tv, this new Sony I can hear and understand all the words without turning the volume up loud, movies and tv audio are awesome! Also purchased a Sony dvd blue ray love both. Both were easy to set up even for this old guy!

I was skeptical about this with the low pricw.  We have a Sonu TV that has poor audio quality and my Mom can't hear the TV; I was looking for a Blietooth Sound Bar.  This entire system was less expensive than the compatible soundbars.  This was easy to setup and install %26 what a difference in sound! The neighbor came over after the first day %26 said, "I have never heard your TV or music before, did you get a new TV or something because it sounds amazing!"

Corrects TV audio/quality:true surround sound

Sound is good. Every bit as good as Klipsch 5.1 650 watt that quit working...twice.  Setup easy. Bummed that we missed it's ALMOST wireless...2 side speakers have obnoxious black wires that connect to the WIRELESS module.  Our mistake.  Maybe don't show the picture of speakers hanging on wall with NO wires!

Not truly wireless but sounds good

Rear speakers keep popping from time to time. Not really sure why, but I think it has to do with the Bluetooth connection. Its really unpleasant while trying to watch tv. I find myself just turning them off most of the time. Overall, the soundbar and subwoofer are really good.

The system is of the usual high standard which one expects from Sony. The system worked and synchronised straight out of the box, and when connected with an HDMI ARC connected cable is controlled from the TV remote and goes into standby when the TV is switched off as described in the literature.
However I find the dialogue sometimes is muffled and when speech is important, such as on chat shows or news reports, I have to turned the system off and revert to the TV speakers which have greater clarity; In addition, irrespective of which setting or 5.1 source I use, from DVD or broadcast film, the sound from the rear speakers is not unique or different just a lower volume from the front sound bar. I have owned a surround system before which actually makes you feel you are the middle of the action or film - this system does not, it is more like 2.1 not 5.1 but perhaps I have yet to find the ultimate setting.

Disappointed with clarity

I'm not at all impressed with it. it has decent treble, but no midrange and the sub is a joke. i kept it for a total of 24 hrs and returned it. 600w means absolutely nothing. major let down from Sony. their speakers used to be really good, but this one fell on its face.

Spend a little extra for better quality; I expected better from a Sony product.

Thumbs Down

Doesn't work good. I had one from vizio already and my friends gifted me this Sony sound bar. Since it was a gift I had to keep it. Vizio was way much better than this Sony sound bar. Doesn't support the HDMI connection with my tv and Bluetooth always disconnects from tv. Not satisfied with this.

Not worth the price

The sound is great, if all the speakers worked right. The two rear speakers barely have any sound coming out of them and they crackle and pop at weird times. I thought with a name like Sony I would be getting a quality product. I'll be returning it today for a totally different system by a different brand.
