Excellent value for money. Super easy to use. You can plug it in and it's ready to go! However, I miss the early 2000s designs of Sony Dream Machines. This product is a little conservative, but it still looks like a Sony product. For the price and performance, it earns 5 stars. 👍

Quality product at an affordable price

As a former employee, I have great faith and pride in all Sony Products; this radio alarm clock was an outstanding value right out of the box!  It was easy to configure for operation.  I especially like the battery backup for the clock and automatic conversion to daylight savings time and back.  Great sound, great value, I'm pleased.

Compact, multi-feature, radio alarm clock

I bought this to replace an old RCA clock I had for years. Changing from large blue numbers, I was hoping the amber light would reduce overall lighting of the room, and it definitely does. It has brightness settings that also helps this. The only problem I can think of are the small buttons. While that does help to keep my toddler from changing my settings, the alarm button is hard to find sometimes in the dark, but I am adjusting. I have had it for about 3 months now and it works great! I do recommend this clock.

I like the sleek look and it works really well for

A replacement for a 20 year old cube but in white. Still getting used to the display colour change to a shade of orange, still can be read across the room but for me now better with glasses on otherwise a hint fuzzy around the edges. 
Plugging in didn't result in the time appearing as expected but flashing ‘0:00' which made me think that supplied battery was flat as the note in the initial instructions indicated was possible etc. So visited excellent dealer who passed directly to the setting up of time manually and all came to life.

A lovely clean, sleek even elegant design to this clock radio give its broad appeal.
Unfortunately, the small speaker means the sound is 'lifeless' which is a shame as the dual alarm, sleep functions and automatic daylight saving adjustments are excellent. One can always use the buzzer as I do!

Grest Design

This is one of the few alarm clocks on the market with a 10-minute sleep alarm. But more importantly, the 10-minute delay can be extended to 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 minute snooze. And if you push the snooze button during the snooze period, you can reset the snooze from that point on. As far as I can tell, Sony is the only manufacturer that has this feature and this may be the only alarm clock it makes with that feature.

On the downside, the alarm sound is very, very quiet (although my wife can hear it, I cannot). However i can set the alarm to the radio and adjust the volume.

Another problem--even when the time for the alarm has been set, it can be readjusted with an accidental touch of a button, which is placed right next to the switch to turn the alarm on or off. This would be a better product if it had a switch to lock the alarm time once it has been set.

Pros and Cons of the Sony Dual Alarm Clock

I received this as a gift.  I have used Sony square clock radios for over 20 years. My new clock keeps losing time, it is currently 5 minutes behind, within the next several hours, it will be 10 to 12 minutes behind.  I have older models that work perfectly but this one is not of the same quality.

Disappointed in New Model

I've had this clock radio for 4-days and it has constant hum sound when plugged into an outlet.  It is not very loud but is still annoying.  Other outlets were tried and still had the hum, and the wire was fully extended with same result.  Trying to decide if it should be returned.

Having a Sony clock radio  for the past thirty years, I chose a Sony again, a cube clock radio. A nice looking product, but was very disappointed in the product. It is so fiddly to set the time. The radio doesn't stay on the same station, every time you switch it on it needs retuned. More importantly it does not keep the correct time.

This clock GAINS about one minute a week ... I have read and re-read the instructions and still can't fig out their explanation for why this is happening.  Every 4 to 6 weeks, I have to reset the time - it's a pain in the butt :(    Wish I never bought it.  No one answers the phone at Sony or returns emails.

NOT HAPPY - GAINS A MINUTE OF TIME EVERY WEEK
