Happy that I made this purchase but I'm still trying out the features, there are lots of them. The TV was easy to set up and had no problems doing it, there are help prompts if needed, so far I've not had to use this. The audio and picture quality are fine as you would expect from Sony.

Great feature's

We've bought Sony products for years, so when we saw this large tv in the store, well, it was a no-brainer. Our 20-year-old Sony tv still works as good as the day we bought it. This Sony has a beautiful screen that's plenty big and you can make all sorts of adjustments to sound, picture, etc. for your personal liking. It's wonderful to have a larger than life tv for family viewing now. The technology has improved so much, it looks like the people on tv are right there in the living room. It's amazing. We're very happy with the purchase. We highly recommend this Sony.

Sony = Great quality

I looked at the X85J and X90J in store. The picture was very similar but I liked the blacks and contrast better on the X85J and got the 75” version.  The pictures were barely distinguishable from the OLED A90J's. The full auto 120hz game play mode with the PS5 is also great; no manual switching the TV to game mode. I'm not a fan of the Google Android interface. I probably would've gone with the X90J had I known about the backlit remote that comes with that versus the unlit version on the X85J. Overall a great TV and great value for a 75” sized TV. YouTube is your friend in finding ways to easily limit the Google junk and best picture modes/settings.

Great picture

Excellent product and fairly easy to navigate for non techy users. My husband is disabled and the television is a large part of his entertainment. Waiting for promised update to include IPlayer , can stream through IPad but cannot get get subtitles on for some reason. Google support good but hard copy manual would be helpful.  Sony always our first choice.

Picture quality excellent delighted with size.

Bought this about 3 weeks ago. Had planned to get a different brand but all that was available in an 85”. Brought it home and hung it up and got it going. The picture is incredible. My concern had been apps. The other brand apparently had better app functionality. So far so good though.

Wow,great screen

The TV has a beautiful picture.  It works well for my intended purpose.  Unfortunately you CANNOT use Alexa to control the TV.  Apparently that benefit is only available if you have an android device.  The Alexa part would have been handy.  Still a great TV for the price.

Remarkable picture. NOT Apple compatible

I like the TV.  The picture quality is great.  I love the screen size.  Not happy with the bluetooth audio feature.   I like that I can use my bluetooth headphones to listen to the TV.  I do not like that when the bluetooth is on, I keep getting annoying bluetooth connection request that Interrupt watching the TV.  I had to turn off the bluetooth which disables the bluetooth remote microphone feature.  Sony, please fix this.  There should be a way to block these requests so you can leave bluetooth turned on.  This issue detracts from your TV benefits.  Sony has the best Android/Google TV but the bluetooth issue is a negative.  I almost forgot about the sound sometimes takes between 1 to 3 minutes to start when you turn on the TV.  I have the TV connected to a Sony surround sound system.

Nice TV

I wanted the most technology available in a 43" TV and that led me to KV43X85J. The head-on picture quality is top of the line. However, as I start going to the left and the right of the TV an amazing thing happens. The picture turns into soft pastels and it looks like I'm watching the TV through a sheer curtain. The dealer that I bought the TV from said that the X85J series by Sony has that issue and except the picture. Which I have.

I'm stuck down the middle on this model.

I bought the Sony KD55X85J after my Panasonic died on me only after 4 years. Right from the start I could see that colors, brightness and hue were nowhere to par with my Panasonic. Despite trying for hours and playing with the settings, I could not improve much. Not only that the the inital setup was a nightmare, the TV could not pair with my Shaw Cable system (Remote) and I was unable to perform a firmware update (Wifi, wired, USB). The TV keeps popping up notifications about everything and nothing despite you deactivate them, they are still coming back. Even the tech support were able to connect remotly to my TV and figured out an issue in their firmware update app. Bravo... I guess Quality Control is not was it used to be... I bought it in Canada and all the warranty papers were in Spanish (Mexico). Cutting the corners never made it, anywhere.

Colors are all washed out, what happened to Sony?

You can use 4K resolution at 60 hz and the words on the pc icons etc. look fine, however when you enable 120hz the words and font get blurry almost like its being downscaled. If you are ok with manually changing the screen resolution from 60 to 120 to game then back to 60 when you are done then its fine, but I'm not doing that.

Disappointing as a PC monitor.
