These headphones offer superior sound quality that can be adjusted to any listening preference and manipulated to anyone's liking. I listed to lots of different types of music and am very picky about sound and do lots of running and gym workouts for hours on end and rely on great audio quality to keep my experience enjoyable. While listening to Hip Hop or R&B these offer some amazing Bass Quality and crisp treble and when im in the mood to listen to heavier styles of music (Metal, Pop Punk) the sound is VERY deep and crisp and overall these headphones RULE! Not to mention they aren't too tight but manage to stay on my head while i run with no issue and they are the most soft, comfortable over the ear headphones i have owned.

Got these as a birthday present, they are great. Bass is excellent, vocals clear and mid-tones distinct as well. Not just for listening to music, make very good headphones for watching YouTube as well. When listening to music there is no need to put volume to maximum as they offer decent noise-cancelling as well.

Fantastic, would recommend

Very comfortable and not forgetting the versatility and convenience of not having a wire this can be a problem when you don't want to accidentally "yank" your expensive smartphone out of your pocket and on to the payment! Beautiful full rich sound, I don't even need to use the Bass Booster goes well with my Xperia Z3

Stunning & beautiful!

I bought this product as a replacement. I had gone through 4 other pairs before settling for these. I love banging bass levels in my music, and I was sold immediately I read the product description. "Bass that move you"; "Nightclub worthy beats" and felt I might have found my missing rib. I wasn't disappointed. They feel solid enough, pumps out banging "night club worthy" bass, and I'm one happy customer!

Heaven on your ears!

I bought these on the recommendation of a guy who had lost his on a train, I am certainly happy I read his thoughts on the product, as they are exactly what I wanted, Bouncing acoustics when you plug them in and just as good on Bluetooth, easy to pair and very comfortable to wear, Plus they look amazing.

The Extra Bass Boost is amazing

It comes with a 48" cord. It is too short for me. After arrival I ordered a longer cord. Even though the end of the new cord is visibly the same, it does not go all the way in because of the wider "shoulder" of the tip. It is not new cord's fault, but the headphones. I have other cords, neither of the fit. The supporting "shoulder" hole is too small in the Sony headset.

I have had these headphones a few weeks and I can say I'm delighted with them. The comfort is amazing and it is like you haven't got them on at times. The sound is tremendous and the bass is what these headphones are about. That being said, the range of these headphones keeps on surprising me with crisp clear sound that brings music to life. I can't fault these and would recommend them for both home use and music on the move.

Great Product

The phones are well made and attractive. The ear cushions are so deep that there is no need for noise cancelling. The bass is more than adequate without the booster, except at very low volume where it does make a difference, without trampling all over the higher frequencies. Music reproduction is faithful, with very little colouring. Bluetooth pairing was quick with my Xperia phone. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent Headphones

I'm a Sony headphone fan. I have pretty much always bought Sony headphones and the best budget 'phones I found were the MDR-V300's way back in my student days. I have owned, and still have a set of, MDR-V300's for general use throught the years. The current set I own, while still working perfectly, were showing signs of wear a tear ...I have had the current set for around 5 years after all. While looking for a new set I stumbled upon a shop that had several sets you could plug your phone/mp3 player in to test. Immediatly I was blown away by the extra bass, and more specifically, how clear the extra bass was produced. It was exceptional and I was instantly sold.
On to the only listening downside I have found with these 'phones. I use mp3 DJ software mainly playing Drum 'n' Bass (deep bass neurofunk). For this the bass is just too much and perfectly beatmatching can become a problem for some tracks. I have had to EQ heavily to be able to use these headphones with that software. I find I am much better off using my old MDR-V300's (I should note that playing my recorded session back in 'jetAudio Plus' the headphones work astioundingly. So, maybe it is the DJ softwares flaw?). Apart from that though, everything else is great. I use the MDR-XB950's for EVERYTHING else. They work brilliantly with my phone (Sony Xperia Z3). They work exceptionally with my pc for listening to music, watching films, gaming, everything really. Of course, they are also perfect for use with my TV, just, the cord is just a little short.
Comfort is excellent and the earpads and headband padding is superb. I would have preferred a slightly longer connection cable as mentioned, but, that is just me wanting everything when they are really designed for phones and mp3 players. Should you be connection to your mp3/phone music player, the cord is a perfect length. Using the micrphone for the phone the clarity is great, and, the function button works as it should. Build quality is about right for the price, however, I would have preferred the swivel connection between the headband and the cups being metal. Plastic always makes me feel slightly nervous. Then again, having owned MDR-V300's for such a long time, and only ever breaking them by my own stupidity, I shouldn't really be too concerned. Considering how solid the headphones feel the weight is perfectly fine. I wear these things for hours on end with xero discomfort. I, sadly, have had a 12 hour session with these!
In summation - I should really give these headphones a 5 star rating as i have only dropped a star for them not being ideal for use with my mp3 DJ software, of which, they aren't designed for.
Would I recommend these to people, definitely. I would warn them that extra bass does mean seriously 'extra bass'. Will I buy these, or the updated version, again? Yes, or maybe even look into buying something a few audiophile notches higher by Sony. Yet again sony have not disapponted my and I am more than satisfied with my purchase

When it says extra basses it means it.

I use headphones on stage with my Roland electric drum kit. They are the best I've ever used because they take the bass drum without any distortion. The frequency range is excellent i.e. 3Hz to 28,000Hz. The price is half what you would expect from such quality and performance.

Best I've used

I bought these and after approximately 4 months of regular use the joints (swivel points) snapped on one side and cracked on the other. The earphones worked well, sound was good and Bluetooth was easy and worked well and they were also comfortable but I regret that I would not advise purchasing these headphones as I believe from my experience that there is a build quality issue.
