This is one of the best portable systems made , and now even lighter and thinner. The psp can let you play games, surf the web, also store music, videos, and even pictures. Its a digital camera/mp3 play/dvd/computer/game system. This product is best for active people. I use it to keep me accupied before a football game. I recommend it for teens or adults its not the best for young kids. Buy it and you WILL be satisfied!!!

A GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT!!

im 30 years old never bought a gaming system before, so i decided for this christmass to get myself a psp. WOW besides the neato packaging i was impressed by the documentation, i took the psp outta the box and i liked the way it felt, it was incredibly thin with a nice black colour, it had a nice heft and feel to it, i charged it and turned it on and WOW O_O i have never even played one before. it is amazeing it has skype and wifi and a web browser, plus you can download trial games on it! i am really impressed at the amount of work and thought that sony put into the psp to make such an amazeing system, its like haveing a full sized computer in the palm of your hand!

the graphics are amazeing, i bought the grand theft auto vice city game (which i am returning becasue i hate anything racal) and the crises core game, which my boyfreind loves! it also has a shoutcast powerd internet radio, and the theme changes based on the month... this thing is really cool and i look forwards to buying another one for my boyfreind so he will stop useing mine lol.

all in all i would reccomend this system to anyone!

This Thing Rocks!

I received this as a gift from my husband and I love it. The graphics of the games and videos are like watching it from a regular tv if not better. I can use it as a mp3 player, listen to the radio from it, get on the internet, and get this .. . . I can use it as a PHONE!!! by using the Skype software thats installed on it when you do the network update.
The only con/negative I have have about this thing is that the sound is very low. The speakers could have been alot better than what it is. I have to now purchase either headphones that has their own volume adjustment or purchase the hand grip that has the speakers in them ( hopefully they are louder than the psp). Overall I would recommend this for anyone that like to game on the go and would like to watch videos on the go.

Great handheld!

I got the PSP for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas '07. She enjoys watching umd movies and playing games on it. She also likes the fact that she can go online with it. We haven't yet transferred pix to it or downloaded any music but that will be next, I'm pretty sure. I also enjoy play with it. You can really get lost in it cause there's so much that you can do with it. I recommend buying the Logitech PlayGear Amp for it thou, cause the speaker on it is so small that you can hardly hear anything. The amp really helps and it enhances the quality of the PSP.

Loads of Fun

My son loved his PSP until one day it decided not to work. He had it for 3 years without any problems. Thought it was the charger since it wouldn't charge. Still didn't work. Bought a new bettery, and it still didn't work. So, looks like I will be buying a new PSP soon and this time I will buy the warranty.

Got this for my 13 year old for Christmas and he plays it every chance he gets and takes turn with his brothers. His 15 year old brother got the PSP Madden for Christmas and they both love the product... not a bad value ... but costly when you have to buy more than one..... but they really love the system and the games..... so I guess it's worth it

Already got DarkAlex's latest firmware installed.
Skype usage is nice, but you need to buy a seperate
headset to really use it. Its a bit expensive, if you were wise and wanted a good gaming console, save your money and get the PS3. The Slim does what an older one does except with a few pros and cons. If you still want a PSP you could consider either buying a used Fat PSP (the original) or the Slim. Here are a few things to take into consideration.

Pros: new features such as can hook up to TV, Skype, its lighter, and can charge the battery via USB, better positioning for speakers.

Cons: cheapy feel, cheapy plastic (don't drop it, it may break or crack), The disc tray is much cheezier and less reliable in terms of strength. No infrared. Not 1.5 firmware capable. have to already have a PSP with custom firmware to make pandora stick and battery to give custom firmware(its a pain, and impossible to get custom firmware without another PSP).

All in all, if you take good care of it with no accidents its great. Don't really need 1.5 or custom firmware if you're not into homebrew PSP (if you don't know what it is, don't worry about it).

Not Bad.

I bought this for my son who is 10. It is great for children this age or around this age, but not a good product for 6ish because it is a little more expensive than a nintendo ds and a little more delicate.

An entertaining product

I continue coming to check where it states it's a refurbished product, price is great. So I guess you get what you pay for. Purchased as a Christmas gift, item is very very dirty and scratched. I was very disappointed. Could have replaced the pieces. But at least it's for my son and not a gift to someone else's and I'll simply buy covers. Hope my son doesn't mind it or notices it lol.
