Steep cost compared to base model and competitors.

Best Console

walmart.com

I finally splurged on the Pro version and set it up in front of my 98 inch TV. The moment I turned it on, the graphics looked so crisp I thought the game characters were trying to sneak out of the screen and into my living room. The frame rate is smoother than a buttered otter sliding down a water slide, and I swear the explosions now have a faint scent of ozone that wafts through the house.

Ease of use? It's basically a plug-and-play miracle. I didn't need a PhD in electronics to get it running; the UI is so intuitive that even my grandma could figure it out while knitting a sweater. The controller feels like a solid chunk of future tech, and the PS Portal syncs flawlessly, letting me stream my favorite titles to the couch without a hitch.

As for quality, this thing feels like it was forged by a team of artisanal engineers who only use the finest titanium and unicorn hair. The build is sturdy, the fan is whisper-quiet (except when it decides to announce a boss fight with a gentle roar), and the HDMI cable that came with it is longer than my last relationship.

I've been playing non-stop, and the console hasn't missed a beat. The graphics are so advanced that my TV now has a permanent case of pixel envy, and the framerate is so high I've started to question whether I'm watching a game or a high-definition documentary about my own reflexes.

If you're looking for a gift, this Pro is the perfect blend of awe-inspiring performance and brag-worthy status. Just be prepared for the recipient to start demanding a larger TV, a better sound system, and perhaps a personal assistant to keep up with the visual feast. In short, this thing is a glorious, slightly pricey, gaming behemoth that turns every session into a cinematic event.

Big Screen Bliss, Small Wallet Regret

PlayStation 5 was a game changer when it first hit the market then they made the pro which in my opinion should have been the base ps5 from the jump but you know Sony loves to use cash grabs to consumers and game enthusiasts would recommend this console only downside no disc drive included even more hate towards Sony since they are going full digital 2028 yikes

PS5 meets PRO!

Had my PS5 for years and thought it was great. I was pleasantly surprised at just how much better the PS5 Pro was. Noticeable improvement in graphics and processing speed. The cost is prohibitive but if you can afford it worth the investment. One word of caution, do your research and make sure you have a display that can take full advantage of the power the Pro offers.

PS5 Pro worth the $?

Amazing console, despite Sony being far too greedy in every aspect of “PlayStation” it's a very good console

Fast loading times, stunning performance and visuals. Call Of Duty definitely has some hiccups but that's like the most bloated game on earth so it gets a pass

Upgraded before the next price hike comes. I'm upset I didn't upgrade before the last one. Wasn't sure I would have any need for it this year and could wait another year or so but that didn't pan out.

Upgrade from ps5 to pro before next price hike

yeah it's a big different in graphics and performance. but beware your not going to see it if your gaming on a old tv or monitor. must be 120hz or higher to see the difference between the ps5 and the ps5 pro

Absolutely the best (console) gaming system ever. Love everything about the PS5 pro except for the price. Very much over-priced. You'll have to decide for yourself if the price is worth it but it is fun.

Spent almost 1,000 on this. No disc insert. Nothing extra. No games. Nothing. Not even PS plus. Rip off.

Waste of money.

playstation 5 pro was delivered on monday 8/24 and broken and returned by sunday 8/30....only played a couple times due to 12 hr working shifts. turned playstation on and screen was blacking out took forever to get to login screen. once on main page any game you tried to play it threw and error code and wouldn't play any games..5 days on a $1,000 system and it totally glitches out. playstation.com offered to have me send in to repair and probably have the system for weeks if not months for something I played 1 time and had for 5 days and spent $1,000 on...no thanks I returned it. buyers beware. such a tease the graphics were great, game play was awesome everything I expected it to be and then it crashed after 5 days of owning it.

Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Console (PS5 Pro) front-facing all-digital console with white curved outer panels and black core, built-in 2TB SSD, designed for advanced ray tracing and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to deliver super-sharp 4K clarity and high frame-rate gameplay; no disc drive included — often used as a compact downloaded-media hub for streaming apps.
