It was delayed about a week, but arrived with rushed shipping via Fedex, so when it did ship it was here overnight, and this cost me nothing extra (still free shipping).  While I admit the delay was annoying, it was still here in reasonable time, so that's all water under the bridge.  

Box was undamaged, and item works without issue.  Was a fight to get it through the online process, and glad to finally have it.

Got in on the August 5th drop and miraculously was able to purchase online with my Walmart app!!! It was suppose to be delivered on September 24, 2021 but I received it today August 24, 2021 !!! I won't know how it plays until my son opens on his bday and Christmas in December! I've gone through it trying to get this thing for the past year and finally a normal, everyday person did it and so can you!!!! Don't give up!!!

Walmart experience:
The order process is chaotic but I still think it is better than BestBuy, Newegg, and Amazon.  If I had to guess 100's to 1000's trying to buy consoles.  Which probably includes scalpers unfortunately.  I think the press and hold for the trying to buy on Walmart might hamper bots if I had to guess.  I have been fortunate in securing a console.  
PS5:
It is neat and bigger console than prior generation. Looks great.  Played around with but not to in depth.  I would like online for better review.  So far I am satisfied.

Chaotic but great experience

Paid $499   tax when Walmart.com had a restock. The PS5 was delivered in pristine condition and works well. Had it so far for about 3 months and everything works as it should. So far, no issues at all with the console or controller.
It did take a month to ship after I ordered it but once it finally shipped, I got it in about a week.

Pristine Condition - happy purchase!

I am so happy to finally get the ps5 and that is why I am giving 4 stars. Honestly its so hard to get one.. i tried and tried and finally got lucky... Once i bought it, it said i would get it in a month and a half.. that really sucked but about 3 weeks later it shipped and arrived the same day.. i had to stay home and go outside every few mins to check.. was worried the package would get stolen.. the company they use said it would arrive by end of business day.. its a Saturday and i have no idea what that meant, i called they said it could be as late as 9pm but they were super nice and very helpful. however they could not give me a time frame.. i did finally get my ps5 around 3:30pm and am very happy!! this was kinda nerve wrecking but only because its the ps5.. happy I have it now

if you finally get your order in, you still wait

I wish they wouldn't send you reviews so early because I've only had this console for two weeks it's kind of hard to rate it . The graphics are great the speed is wonderful. The console is too big and the controllers PS5 are heavier than the PS4 and placing them into a charger can be cumbersome you have to place them just right or they won't charge.

Too early to tell

Be careful buying from Walmart. The controller started to move on its own, like the Switch controllers did after a while. But the PS5 controller started doing it the first time it was being played. The console is fine, but Walmart only gave us the option to return PS5 back and get 10%, but no guarantee to exchange for a new PS5. It took us a year to get this and it is really disappointing.

Bad controler

My controller died after just a month of use. It happened as I was playing a game. One moment it was working fine and the next moment the controller is completely unresponsive. It took forever to reach Sony support and when I finally got through they tell me I have to send it in and wait a month for them to diagnose it. They even make me pay for shipping!
