Arrived in good condition.  This is our first new TV in 25 years.  We bought a Sony because the old one lasted so long. We bought this model because it has a refresh rate of 120 vs. 60 and was on sale for $200-300 less than its original price -- probably because it is the 2022 model.  

We are senior citizens with moderate technical skills.  We unpacked and set it up ourselves - on a stand.  The printed instructions were worthless.  (Enough with pictures.  Words please! I'm literate.)  We only have free over-the-air reception, so can't speak to cable or satellite set-up.   We are using the same antenna from the old TV and had no issues with getting plenty of channels.  We didn't connect to Google and have only used YouTube from the HOME screen.  Sound is fine for basic TV.  For music video or movies you'd probably want a sound bar.  

Overall, we are satisfied with the purchase at this point.  For us, the definitive test is the test of time.

Everything works great, and it has an amazing picture. Sony has very good upscale technology and that is important because other then movies not much is broadcast in 4k, so upscale ability is something to keep in mind when buying a tv. It has a 120 hz native panel which you need in 2024. It has a 3.0 tuner built in so you are all set when Next Gen begins. 

Unfortunately the remote that comes with it is not good, the buttons feel fragile, it feels like it's going to break, it is not what you expect to get when you purchase a Sony TV. I personally upgraded to the Sony TX621 Remote because it has a backlight, its faceplate is metal, it's sturdy, the buttons feel strong, the whole remote is sturdy, & It is what you expect to get with a Sony TV purchase. I purchased 3 Bravias before and this is the only one with a bad remote. Sony used to go out of there way using high quality materials on there remotes, and hopefully they will get back to that.

The TV is everything you expect from a Sony. I recommend purchasing this model.

picture is nice. biggest let down is, it signs you into your google account, to collect your info, nothing more. you can only use sony's app store. very, very limited apps to use! you want iheartradio? nope, sorry. only pandora is available. what's the point in making me sign into google if i cant even use the google playstore to get apps? oh.....to collect my info, that's right.....moreover, how does a tv remote have a dedicated Netflix button but not have it preinstalled on the tv? im disappointed in the app options, or should i say, lack there of. signing into Google, is pointless, for your benefit. how is it called a google tv, if you cant use google to get your apps? lol. what are the benefits, for the user, to stay logged into google, with this particular tv? there are none. its just to collect your personal info and what you are watching, to personalize the ads. the branding of this being a google tv, is very misleading.

Limited and restrictive apps.

This was supposed to be cutting edge technology?  You must be joking.  Dark spots began to appear after 2 years.  TV was not mishandled in any way. Has been in the same spot since delivery.  Last Sony product we ever buy.  This purchased was absolutely a complete waste of money. Sony should be ashamed to put out such poor quality product.

I've had this TV for a year or so. It doesn't function well with Android at all, fine with IOS. It's impossible to cast to the TV from and Android device, doesn't work with Google Apps like Home. Some Apps have limited functionality like ITVx has no Live broadcast tab, as I could not get my Samsung phone to Cast to the Sony TV, I could not watch any World Cup matches on ITV. Yes, I went through the endless help pages and fixes suggested on various websites and AI apps.

Expensive 75” TV and I got a dead pixel (black dot) in middle of screen just 6 months after warranty expired. I will not be wasting money on any more Sony TV's. Cheaper to replace than repair it.

I bought this brand new model expecting nothing but the best. Everything is great except as soon as I started watching I noticed significant vignetting on all four corners of the screen. The vignetting is visible regardless of picture setting and brigthness. I verified this with many videos, apps, photos, prodict manual, blank screen. So far I found no  information on how to fix this problem.
