I purchased these for my son. I sized up with hopes they will fit for more than one winter and he is comfortable in them. They are a large boot, it took some time for my son to adjust to walking in them.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I ordered these not really having an idea of just how huge they would be. They are very heavy and bulky for a child to wear for the day. However I am sure they will be very warm when the snow comes.

These boots are massive.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The kids love these warm boots when it gets below -15°C to -30°C and even lower. They'll wear lighter waterproof and slightly insulated "muck" boots in the warmer winter temperatures, but switch to these to keep the feet cozy when it gets colder.

They're a bit heavy and warmest if you size up a bit (same as for adult -100°F boots from any source, loose fit = warmer), but that's the expected trade for real warmth and durability when it's really cold. The kids comment on the weight when they first put them on, but soon forget the weight and choose these boots from their collection of their own accord when it's cold.

Our son bought his first pair recently as he wanted a really warm pair of boots like his older sister and you can't get these -100°F boots in child sizes so he had to wait for his feet to grow :) He enjoyed his previous child size Sorel winter boots, but wanted more warmth at times.

P.S. at the time of writing, this review shows up as incentivized as if we received sample product... that would be nice, but is not the case. The email inviting us to review our purchase notes we'll be entered to win a $150 gift card. I don't expect to get that, but someone will win it for each month of 2018, so I suppose it is possible this will turn into sample product for us :)

Great cold weather boots

It's a boot and brand that you don't have to try to know. This us the brand that was around while I was growing up & I haven't heard anyone complain about them. I don't regret my purchase, I am relieved to know that my child can stay outdoors all day if they wish in these boots.

Youth Glacier™ XT Boot

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Easy to get on and off and withstand the super cold weather in Alberta. They are a heavier boot, but super warm. Definitely happy I spent the money and bought the girls Sorel boots.
