[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have good experience with sound devices but this one took me long time to setup. I thought the wiring would be straightforward with the TV and the HDMI cable, and the 3.5mm output to the speakers. It was frustrating that there was no sound at all. I then tried the laptop HDMI output to the console and then to the TV approach, it also wasn't working. Without changing any wiring, I rebooted the console, and it worked. I then went back to the TV setting. Wasn't working again...and not knowing what I did, it worked after I fiddled around. When it's working it is great. It can remove the vocal (not mentioned in the manual) for some content (not sure why some other songs don't work).

The two microphones look nice, but somehow the sound is a bit low, even I turned it to the maximum. I can tell the echo does work though.

Please do remember that you need to have your own HDMI cables and AA batteries.

And the second day I used it, I had to move the wires around and put them back. When I put them back, it stopped working again. It turned out that the HDMI from TV needs to be put into the slot 'HDMI out', but I clearly remember it was working for "HDMI in". So it's better you don't touch anything after you setup...
