This bookcase is beautiful and sturdy.  It arrived in good condition and well packaged.  It was easy to put together.

Great Bookcase

This is a great shelf for a great price.  Like a is good and came I damaged.  My husband and as able to put two together in about an hour.  Holds our business one and a few decor items well.  Love the shelves!

Great shelf

I bought two of these bookcases for my sons bedroom. I was a little hesitant to buy because of reviews on broken pieces but I'm glad I bought them. I have only put together one of the bookcases and it arrived in perfect condition. It is pretty standard to put together and instructions were easy to follow. The bookcase is sturdy and the shelves are nice and thick. The finish is good and it definitely looks better the the cheap MDF bookcases I was replacing. The shelves are a little top heavy and I would recommend fastening them to the wall, especially if they are sitting on carpet. Wish they would include fastening hardware. My only complaint is the cheap cardboard backing. From certain angles you can really see the cardboard. I wouldn't put them in a living room but for a kid's room they are fine. Something to consider if the cardboard would bother you.

nice and sturdy bookcase

I bought this book shelf because it is a pretty close match to the Sauder New Cottage desk that I also purchased. I put it together by myself but I have plenty of experience putting furniture together. If you do not, you might want a little help. The back is the standard cardboard backing that comes with put-together-yourself furniture, which was disappointing considering the price. I wish it was a little bigger but for a home office is nice size. It is very attractive.

Looks nice

The directions are horrible. I was ready to just throw the whole thing out of the window. At one point it tells you to add some type of screw into one area but doesn't tell you which one. Figured that one out in the end.  There are gaps and they don't close until EVERYTHING is put together so the whole time you're getting aggravated. A few pieces came chipped so I had to go over it with paint. Finished product looks nice atleast.

I needed a bookshelf that could hold 1 foot square baskets for a not so wide space on a wall. This holds eight baskets comfortably and its not too big, not too small. Also matches my other shelves and furniture pretty well. Seems durable, looks nice. Putting it together wasn't too bad as far as furniture goes. So far I am happy with this bookshelf!

Just what I needed

Parts were missing. It looks good but is not sturdy.
The cost is to high considering the material its made from. Unfortunately it is standard for furniture to no longer be made with hard wood and will not last longer than a few years.

I purchased this bookcase to replace one in my son's room. The description lists that it is made of solid wood. Although it is a good looking bookcase don't be fooled. It is your typical laminated particle board construction. No real wood here. But it does look wonderful and I will recommend it to friends as long as they know exactly what it is made of.

Nice bookcase but deceiving

The paper back did not add to the looks of the cabinet. We elected not to use it. Be sure to anchor the bookcase to the wall. If is not sturdy unless you do.

Back did not measure up to the rest of the product

Very cheap quality, definitely not worth $130. One of the corners was chipped, the back is just that cardboard material, and the top shelf was wobbly. Definitely would not purchase again.
