It was easy to put together. One person can do it, but I would suggest you have two people if you can't lift and hold up large parts. It turned out beautiful and we love it.

Really like this desk and seems to be pretty good quality. The first time I ordered it, there was damage to the top of the desk surface from shipping, so I returned it and ordered again. The shipping was pretty fast though, just 2-3 days each time. The instructions for assembly are a little overwhelming and confusing at first, and not the most straightforward. But once we got going, it went faster than it first looked like it would. Took less than 2 hours. The pieces of the desk were labeled on the edges. I was worried at first that the unfinished edges facing the front of the desk would show, but it came with pieces to cover the unfinished edges. Everything looks really good and went together well. Except the piece F that was supposed to be a thin cardboard piece nailed to the back of the desk did not fit, but it was not necessary anyway. There were extra screws and hardware, so that was good in case we lost something. The handles to the drawers were darker than I expected, more like black, but that is ok.

Instruction booklet was very rudimentary.  Small parts were not clearly identified for their use in the assembly process.  Final product turned out well.

South Shore Gascony Desk

It turns out a vast majority of computer desks with a pull-out keyboard shelf don't have a shelf wide enough to actually fit the mouse beside the keyboard, which makes no sense to me! This one is actually designed properly, so that's one of the main reasons I chose to buy it. It's a nice, compact desk with good aesthetics and functionality.

As many others reviewers seemed to experience, my package arrived slightly damaged. Ultimately my pieces do have some superficial dings on them, most notably small gouges in the right front corner and back edge of the main desktop piece but also a few scratches to the finish and a couple mangled corners. It took a bit to grasp the instructions, but once you do they are fairly clear pictograms after all. The pieces are generally labeled on their edges, and every connecting hole was exactly where it should be.

It did take a drill to be able to tighten the screws enough so the trim along the front properly aligned with the edges of the side pieces. After finishing, my drawers also don't line up quite perfectly, so there's a slight gap between the trim and the front of the drawer and they aren't the smoothest to pull open and close. All in all, though, it's fully functional and that's what matters most.

Fits the bill but mediocre quality

if using a a desk i would not be impressed but as a utility table it's decent for the price

It's a strong desk sturdy desk. I gave it 3 stars because it took 6 hours for one person to put together. The alignment on the draws are slightly off. There are no words in the direction all pictures.

Timing consuming

My desktop was damaged upon unpacking.  There was a whole corner chipped off.  We had everything unpacked and the only option was to pack it all up and return it to Walmart.  I couldn't see doing that realistically.  I just need the desktop replaced.  The drawers don't line up quite right.  It will do, but it's just okay.

Desktop was damaged

Damaged in shipping to start with but had planned on just working with that since another shipment would probably not fare any better. Then one of the drawers had pre drilled holes that were a 1/2" off and at this point that's all that's left to completing the assembly. Would not recommend this product.

Very dissatisfied

Took 3 purchases in order to get one that was not completely destroyed and even the third one was still damaged, but serviceable.

Poor Quality

I received 4 broken parts. All parts were poor quality parts. Plus the package was a joke. It was super thin for more than 100 pounds of junk. I didn't care about one of the buyers who complains about the package but I should have... There is no protection on the sides. Just repairing the package and repacking took an hour. I am returning... I have to carry 100 pounds of the package to FedEx. Please don't do it for yourself. You can find a better one for $200

Do yourself a favor don't buy this product
