We bought this dresser for our 15 year olds bedroom and for the price we weren't really sure.. Boy were we wrong.. This was super easy to assemble and it I think it took us about 45 minutes total. She's extremely happy with it and the way it looks. I highly recommend this product.

Great Product

It took some time to put together, but it is not difficult. It is almost fool-proof. The drawers are not super free-moving, but they do get the job done. For the money spent, this is the way to go. I just spent an eternity painting our daughter's furniture.... just buy it in the color you want. It's cheaper in the long-run with time/paint/aggravation spent (we are talking sanding, primer, sanding, one coat, more sanding, and then final coat- did I mention brush marks and bubbles- no fun at all. I decided to splurge on my son's room with a new chest of drawers. The drawers look excellent.... They even added a new-wood-smell to my son's room- a definite improvement for sure... almost like a new-car smell, but a new-wood smell :) I would recommend this product to my friends and family. Enjoy!

Great product for the money!

Love this dresser .. Assembly was tedious definitely a two people job only took a little over an hour. Drawers were not as deep as I thought they would be but still enough for what I needed it for !

Love it

Was missing a few small screws, but it was a quick fix because I had some similar ones already in my tool box. Took about 2 hours to build, would have taken longer if I didn't have my wife to help. Looks great and is sturdy.

Looks great considering cheap price

I purchased two of these dressers and my family absolutely loves them. They are heavy duty dressers and look really nice. They are fairly easy to build, my husband had my daughters help him build them.

Beautiful dresser for the money!

For the price, the item is not bad. It is holding up well with drawers full of clothes and a 42in TV sitting on top. The product arrived without any nics or scratches, and I am enjoying the sleek design.  The instructions only came with photos, and it took me about two hours to assemble. It may take less for others, but I am a verbal person and I found several photos difficult to follow.

Decent for the Price, Tricky to Assemble

...if you take ONE thing from this review, please take this: USE AN ELECTRIC DRILL/SCREWDRIVER!

Although the directions specifically state not to use a drill, I can promise you that if you attempt to put this set together without one...you will end up cursing up a storm and with your dominant hand in INTENSE pain.

ALL of the screws are Philips Heads...meaning they are impossible to tighten, as Philips Head generally are. Additionally, many of the pre-drilled holes are NOT the right size for the screw. Without an electric drill/screwdriver, you will find it impossible to tighten them enough to be secure. Further. there are several places that holes are NOT pre-drilled, yet you are must place a screw there anyway.

I'm generally happy with the product...but was absolute exhausted after putting the entire set of 6 pieces together. I attempted the first without a drill, and nearly drove myself mad. It took me the entire day to complete the other 5 pieces, with a drill.

Generally favorable, however...

I read about 50 reviews before purchasing. Pro: Received my product WELL ahead of the due date given to me which was great! The cons: The color is a bit dark as I read in the reviews. I wasn't expecting PLASTIC hardware for the drawer slides, but I figured I should be able to get at least a years use out of this for what i paid , IF it stays where i'm putting it. One side piece of the dresser was cracked. With a very simple and quick call to the manufacturer they are shipping me a replacemen. No questions asked and not charging for shipping which I appreciate. Overall, this dresser would work in a spare room, where it wouldn't be used every single day by someone with LOTS of clothes, like me.

Good for now

Instructions are clear enough and it looks alright but there were 3 major issues I had with this dresser that make me heavily recommend avoiding it (and probably other, similarly priced, South Shore products)

1) Despite showing instructions for installing a back panel there is no back panel included (and it wasn't missing, the box it came in was not big enough to fit a back panel). Unfortunately this made it VERY unstable so I had to go to home depot to buy a piece of plywood for the back.

2) The drawer slides are just two pieces of plastic, there's no ball bearings or metal rails.

3) On one of the 5 pieces of wood for the drawers they somehow missed drilling 2 holes in the end of the panel. I thoroughly checked I wasn't confusing the piece with another but there's only those 5 pieces for only that purpose. I had to drill them myself and didn't do it quite perfect so now one of the drawers is slightly skewed.

Avoid

I dont always do reviews of products but I felt the need to with this one. My fiance and I spent 5 hours putting this together, as we were assembling it and screwing in the screws the the compresed sawdust "wood "started to crack. I cannot believe how cheaply made this is. You def get what you pay for. This was returned immediately. Beware.i honestly cannot believe all the positive review on here. This product is terrible and wouldnt even last a few months if kept. Instead of metal rollers it is held together with cheap plastic
