I have purchased many home furniture items which required assembly. This bed was the EASIEST!!! Directions were super easy to follow, all predrilled holes aligned (rare to find this!) and I was able to assemble the item solo. (directions suggested 2 people)

The bed was purchased for my teenage daughter and she loves how the bed looks in her Parisian themed room. The drawers are very spacious.

Don't let anyone scare you off from buying this bed because they thought the instructions were hard. We followed the instructions slowly and it still only took about an hour and a halfto build. It's very sturdy. Clean and simple. Very happy with my purchase.

Good value, sturdy bed

I have had this bed frame for about a week. I put it together by myself and it took about an hour or so. It was pretty easy but you just have to pay attention to the pictures in the directions to really put it together properly. Its easy to mess up when you don't pay attention. The drawers aren't that spacey at all though. It looks great and I love the finish. The boards on the platform are very thick so it has great support. It doesn't make any noise when I get on/off the bed or while sleeping in bed. I truly can't complain about it. It's a great buy.

I really like it !

Once I took all of the pieces of the frame out of the shipping box along with the hardware, I noticed that as per instruction booklet everything was marked on the inside or edge along with the number of pieces. All hardware pieces were numbered and shone on the diagram where each piece fit. Those things made assembly not too difficult.
The bed I got is the full / Queen size. The bed leans between the two sizes which causes a slight overhang of a queen mattress

This bed is actually pretty well made for this price point. My daughter loves it. I put it together by myself (didn't take long at all). The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is, I feel the manufacturer could create a corner brace that would hold it together a bit better. It does take some fine adjusting to make sure all drawers stay flush.

Purchased this full size bed for my 10 year old and she loves it. The directions are almost 100% in picture format, which is not a bad thing, as long as you really pay attention to the pictures. I'm a petite female and was able to put this bed together in approximately 2-1/2 hours. If you have it shipped, don't be surprised if you have a damaged piece or two. Although the packaging is very sturdy, with protective edges and thick foam plastic pads, the box does weigh 145 lbs and stands almost 6' tall so the box could be pushed, slammed, shoved or dropped by the “carrier”. The hardware and bed parts are of good quality and South Shore will replace damaged pieces if needed. There was damage on one of the drawer covers, but it's hidden so I didn't request a replacement. I removed each piece from the box and into the room. There was no way I could push or drag that box to it's final destination.
I'll get to the point and provide suggestions.
1. Examine the instructions thoroughly first and from time to time revert to the page showing the fully assembled bed for guidance. (Left side, Right side… very important)
2. Assemble the bed in the room you plan on having it in. If you have the bed on a hardwood floor, use the tabs provided for easy sliding. If the room is carpeted, use wide sliders to get the bed where you want it in the room.
3. Use a cordless screwdriver, but be careful not to strip the screws; this will save time and muscle.
4. Since there is a lot of hardware, open the packages as needed.
5. Be careful when tacking the board to the bottom of the drawers during assembly. I had a few finishing nails go through and chip the back of the drawer.
When complete, the bed is very sturdy, but of course not made to be jumped on. All you will need is a mattress. I purchased the Spa Sensations 8” Memory Foam Mattress that fits perfect.

Great for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the white   Beware. It is different than the brown. It only has drawers on one side.   Very dissapointing but by the time we got it out together we thought it too late abd too much trouble gi return

I just moved out and this bed met my needs. The extra storage is great. A few things I didn't like were that the box arrived broken and there was some denting/chipping on the wood. Also, we needed a drill to secure the platform to the frame... maybe it was missing holes?

Overall, met my needs for a cheap, temporary student bed

great for students

I was not impressed with this bed at all. When we picked it up the box was very damaged. We took our chances that the bed wasn't itself damaged because we live 40 minutes from the nearest Walmart and didn't want to reorder and then have to find time again to pick it up again. That was a mistake. The bed wasn't badly damaged, but it was damaged enough for a new bed. We decided to just live with it and luckily the damage isn't that noticeable once it was put together. The directions were very hard to follow and required tools not an average person would have. Once the full size bed was together the full size mattress didn't fit the bed properly. There are two inch gaps on both sides and you can see the panels on the bed. If I could do it over again I wouldn't purchase this bed and pay a little extra and purchase a higher quality bed all ready put together from a real furniture store.

You get what you pay for.

I bought two of the same bed and there were so many damaged pieces in the boxes that I didn't have enough pieces to assemble even one bed!
