We have a small entryway, so this bench was just the perfect size. We had looked at furniture stores, where some entryway benches were $800+. For the price of this bench, it is a good buy. If you're expecting solid oak, well of course it's not. The wood is darker than the picture. For the price we are very happy with our purchase.

Good Bench for the Price!

I was able to assemble by myself in approximately 3 hrs. It took some patience. All hardware was present in the box and very well labeled. I could not be happier with the end result. It is a sturdy, good looking piece and I am glad to have it.

Good quality piece of furniture at a good price

Fast shipping, easy to assemble. Looks very nice, and was a pleasingly larger than anticipated.

Hall Tree

It was a little tricky to assemble from the directional diagram picture in the booklet. Also, some screws were missing from the packet. The help "call number" people were very nice and helpful.

Very attractive and useful beside the back door

This was exactly what I was looking for. Would have given it 5 stars, however, 2pieces were cracked when it arrived. I went ahead and assembled it, but I'm afraid the sturdiness of the product suffered. It came with 2 screws to brace it to the wall studs and, while it would be firmer with them, I wanted to be able to move it to clean under and not leave holes in the walls of our rental.

Directions were a little confusing at first, but it is a beautiful piece of furniture. Perfect for and entryway

Good product but the wall support screws could be longer for walls with baesboards and quarter round.

It was neither good or bad. My complaints would be:
1. Color was darker than pictured
2. the hooks seemed light/frail
3. My wife bought this thinking it was solid Oak, but there are certainly portions that are not.
4. Product maker asks you to drill this to wall. this is because product is light and not as stable as one would imagine.
5. Product says bench limit is 250. I have a lot of tall friends who push that limit.
6. took about 2 hrs to assemble and secure

Positives are:
1. Design is very nice
2. Even though it took 2 hours, instructions were adequate to complete
3. In my opinion it is "customize-able". We have already added new stronger hooks, going to add more on the top for scarves, and I am going to throw more support for the bench in the bottom.

Overall, would recommend to "Handy" friend who isn't expecting pure solid wood. Still good product for price point.

i haven't installed the coat hooks yet because the screws ( i think) are too small to handle my heavy coats

The bench is great, except the screws and bolts that it came with, they didn't fit and were poorly constructed, fitted very loosely and poorly.
