I bought this for my daughter for a gift since she was trying out for our Rec Basketball team and made it! She was sooo excited and this mama loved the price and knowing I am purchasing equipment that is great for her to learn the game and ball handling skills. A Big Score!

I have to say that I am frustrated with your company right now. The Rookie Gear ball is the official basketball of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association's (NWBA) Junior Prep Division for youth 5 - 12 years old with a primary physical disability. Not sure why you changed the materials of the Rookie Gear Composite Cover Basketball (SPA0090). Losing that 10% of weight is immense for the youth that I coach and those others in our NWBA Jr Prep Division. It might not seem like much to a non-coach, but it truly is. I would rather pay more for the same ball than to see cheaper materials being used. It may affect our organizations use of the Rookie Gear ball as now the weight difference. Research was even completed by a member of our Hall of Fame; Dr. Robert Szyman with data showing the success of implementation of your basketball's use for our youngest athletes. I just received ten basketballs from our distributor (they sent me the rubber SPA0091, and I am wondering if it is worth getting the SPA0090 in exchange). Please go back to the original materials of the Rookie Gear Ball.
