I have always had Speck cases and I'm glad I purchased one again for my new iPhone 12 Pro.  The Phone slipped out of my pocket from the second floor of the house and  fell under the railing to the first floor and landed on a ceramic tiled floor. There was absolutely no damage to my brand new phone!!! The case is worth every penny I paid for it.

I have been using the PRESIDIO2 GRIP on previous phones and thought I'd try the clear case. I found the case extremely slippery for such a expensive phone and for it to be a "grip" case. If they had the rubber on the grip portion it would have been fine. However, to make things worse you simply can not push a button. Any of them are painfully difficult to get to do what you want.  Compared to the PRESIDIO2 GRIP, which has very good traction and the buttons are so easily to be pushed, the Perfect-Clear with Grips does not come close to what I would expect or need to have.  I returned it and replaced it with the PRESIDIO2 GRIP

I am sorry but I personally would not buy this case again

We have purchased several spec grip cases in the past and love them. You did not offer a white case for the iPhone 12 pro max so we were forced to purchase the clear version and found it was not grippy at all. The reason we purchase the clear case is the color choices were not adequate for my wife. in the future we would consider buying a grip case for the 12 pro max if it cut because available in white .

I've been using the speck grip cases on my last three phones and they were fantastic.  The change on the new models to a plastic vs rubber grip greatly reduced the grip and I actually ended up shipping it back.  I hope they change them back in the future as I will buy it again if they do.

Why fix what isn't broken

It's definitely "grippier" than a plain clear case (such as the Apple version), but unfortunately Speck moved away from rubber grips in earlier phone version cases. The "grips" here are part of the plastic case form. So it is not nearly as grippier as prior models, but still better than having no ridges. Given the size of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it has already slipped once out of my hand.  The good news?  Case and phone survived the concrete sidewalk.

Better than no ridges, but still slippery

Because the case is one piece, the buttons are very hard to push. Something about this plastic makes the case slippery. I kept wiping it but I was still afraid that I would end up testing the 13 feet drop feature without intending. So I immediately  bought a Presidio2 Grip and threw away the clear case.

I would NOT buy this clear case again

I used the  Presidio2 Grip case for my iPhone 11MAX and liked it. I purchased the Perfect-Clear with grips thinking I would see more of my phone color on my new 12 Pro Max. The Perfect Clear grips are hard plastic unlike the more rubber feel of the Presidio Grip. The Perfect Clear case has proven to be way too slippery for my use. I went and ordered the Presidio2 Grip and looking forward to its arrival.

I prefer the Presidio2 Grip to the Perfect Clear.

The case itself is wonderful but it is impossible to hit the buttons. The on/off switch snd the two volume controls. This case is not designed to be able to push the buttons. It is so hard and so ridged that it takes two hands and holding my phone a certain way and using my fingernail to really press hard enough to get a button to work. When you quickly want to turn a song down or your ringer going off.... you can't.

The buttons are too rigid

It is great to show off the pretty colors of the new iPhone 12 BUT that's where it ends.  This case is made of such hard plastic that it is hard to get on your phone and hard to use the side buttons.  Worse than that is it slick and your phone will slide off of surfaces when you put it down.  Returned this case after a couple of weeks.  Don't waste your time and money plastic is too hard and has NO GRIP.

Don't buy this case

I have always used the Speck grip cases on my phone because they are lightweight and protective. I love the clear because it shows off my new blue iPhone 12 pro max. The only negative is that the side buttons are extremely hard to press, making it difficult to take screenshots and turn the phone off and on. It would be better if they just left cutouts for the side buttons like they did for the silent switch.
