Solid shades have a tonal dye effect which creates a unique look. Weight Category: 5. Content: 70% Polyester, 30% Viscose. Put up: 104ml/100g, 179yd/164m. Gauge: 15st x 20r = 4in/10cm on size US 10/6mm knitting needles. Suggested crochet hook size: US J10/6mm. Dyelotted: we try but are not always able to match dyelots. Machine Wash Cold, Do Not Bleach, Tumble Dry Low Heat, Do Not Iron, Do Not Dry Clean. Imported.

Great texture - love it!

I've fallen in love with Bernat Suede-ish yarn! It works up beautifully, and is lovely to handle. 
So far, I've used 4 different colors of it, using the free Bernat Filet Crochet Tote Bag pattern. I have bought 5 more of the colors, to make more tote bags. The yarn is of high quality, beautiful yarn, that doesn't tear or fray. Thank you for such a great product!!

Suede-ish Yarn

The colours are as expected and the yarn gives a nice texture once stitched.  The yarn is easy to work with and quick to work up into small projects. It is frustrating when the yarn is knotted together within the skein.  I am finding 2-3 knots per skein.

Nice light yarn easy to work with

I love the flat finish of an item made from this yarn. Crocheting this yarn does take some getting used to because it tends to turn and flatten unpredictably. I certainly hope color selection expands.

Bernat Suede-Ish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a different type of yarn for me...I usually use bulky #6 but wanted to try something else.  It is soft and pliable....and very pretty

nice yarn

I crocheted the filet crochet tote bag using the Bernat Suede-ish yarn as directed.  I really liked the colours available and the yarn was not difficult to work with.  It produces a rather stiff fabric when crocheted which is fine for a tote as it will be very durable.  However, I left loose ends to be woven in at the end and after threading a needle to do so, found it impossible to pull the thread through the worked stitches, even after many attempts.  Is there a secret to using this thread where it's best to not leave loose ends to be woven in?
