my daughter wanted to dye her hair. I have absolutely ZERO experience with dying hair, and refused to do the bleaching part - it still turned out GORGEOUS and she has brown hair. you can see the purple. it was easy to use, we followed the instructions, and boom - beautiful.

This hair color is just awesome. This particular color, Lusty Lavender, is my favorite. It gives a vibrance and a shine to my hair that is so noticeable; I get compliments all the time. I do not use the bleach; rather, I have some natural white hair, which I make a pattern with. I feel so good-looking and special using this color.

I'm 45 and lost my hair to chemo last year. It's growing back but it's short and has only recently grown out enough that it doesn't stick straight up if I don't babysit it. I fell in love with a purple wig. I've always been straight laced but for some reason purple is my color. So I dyed my hair purple to match my wig so that if my hair shows it doesn't matter.  Since dying my hair it looks a lot neater and I don't feel self conscious without a wig. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the gloves were defective. I still have purple dye on my hands a week later

mid life crisis?

This was my first time dying my hair. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I have shoulder length hair and after dying my fullhead there was still some dye left over. I have 4B hair and it did a good job of coverage. My hair turned out more of a plum purple in the end, I was a bit unhappy about the color but the color grew on me. My hair did end up a bit splotchy where the dye didn't absorb but I dyed it without any help so I might've missed a few spots. I don't wash my hair to often so the color lasted me a few weeks. I always wear a bonnet and the color did leak through the bonnet stained my pillows for the first few days. Would I recommend it? Yes but you won't get that vibrant color unless you really lighten your hair. Also have sulfate-free shampoo on hand because I didn't and my hair quickly dulled into a plum color. Overall it's not a bad kit and it gets the job done if you have the right stuff. (It didn't stain my white tub which is a bonus but I might've got lucky.)

First Time Dying Hair

It was packaged nicely and the color was vibrant, fades quick though. It goes to a nice pastel color though and I have been loving it.

Splat dye is terrible for your hair but im a broke teenager so it is what it is. The color is super vibrant but i definitely recommend going with a better brand like arctic fox or something. If you do use splat make sure that you but Vaseline on your face,ears, and neck to prevent staining, it takes a lot of scrubbing to get it off

love the color but it's a mess.  it doesnt stay purple. after first wash the color washed our in some spots,  a d the color just keeps running make stains every where.  be extremely careful

The box said it would be a bright purple! My daughter's hair is light brown. It was watered down,and smelled horrible! We followed the instructions, and it turned out splotchy and a completely different color than on the box! I would not recommend this brand. You might as well use food coloring!

DISAPPOINTED

didn't hold to my hair at all and the color in the bottle was wayyyyyy lighter than the color on the box. i was sad because even though people have bad things to say about splay, it usually worked beautifully for me :(
