Just picked up this knife, and I'm already impressed. I've always been a big advocate for work knives—I use one every day. I often carry a hawkbill serrated Byrd (also made by Spyderco), which is fantastic for cutting rope, pipe, and other tough materials.
That said, there are plenty of times when I want something more conventional. I used to carry a Swiss Pioneer Alox but lost it a couple of years ago. This new knife feels like a perfect replacement—excellent for carving wood spirits, making feather sticks out in the woods, and tackling general hiking tasks. It's also shaping up to be great for everyday use.

Hard to do better for the price
