This is a very good quality machine for the price. I have shredded potatoes for hash browns, I have grated cheese and I have made smoothies. This unit worked flawless. The safety features do not interfere with use and it cleans up very nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach 12C Stack & Snap Food Processor is such an incredible addition to any kitchen. One of the many awesome features of this machine is that it's easy to assemble and use. 

The 12-cup bowl snaps onto a base, then on top of that you snap on the processing tool you want to use (depending on what you desire - shredded cheese, chopped veggies, etc.)  - dough blade, or the chopping blade, or the slicing/shredding disk (one side is the slicer and the other side of the disc is the shredder). 

Then you snap on the lid. The machine gives you various buttons to use that correspond with the blade or disc you chose: SLICE/SHRED, PUREE/KNEAD, PULSE TO CHOP. 

I used the SHRED side of the disc and the SLICE/SHRED button to shred parmesan cheese. I cut up the cheese into cubes (which makes it much better to shred than just a large chunk of cheese). I put the cubes in the 'food chute' at the top of the machine. 

After I pressed the SLICE/SHRED button, I had the shredded cheese I wanted in under 30 seconds. 

Not only is this machine easy and quick, but it is also quite compact but that certainly in no way affected its excellent performance. It works just as well as larger, more expensive machines. What a fantastic food processor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been in the market for one of these large food processor for months but the prices have always made me weary. I love this one, I think it's a decent price for all it comes with. I've done cheesecake, dough and cheese so far. The height of the blade doesn't really work unless you're doing big items. For example, I was doing garlic, something I usually do in my small one cup but i was testing this out and you have to put a good amount for it to be chopped. Otherwise it's great for items like cheesecake or dough. Amazing for cheese, worked better then I though, beats doing it by hand. I really love how it has suction feet at the bottom, makes it feel more safe and durable... especially since I always have little hands trying to help out. 

Overall,I think for this price you can't go wrong.

Functional, affordable and compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm fascinated with Hamilton Beach 12C Stack and Snap Food Processor at  first it seemed very big but when I started using it it seemed perfect to chop everything in large quantities instead of little by little like the old one I had.  The cup has a lot of capacity, the blades grind well, the space to deposit content is useful so as not to turn it off and start over. chop, line, slice and makes puree. It's all in one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came right on time and works very well. It is HUGE (12 cups) which is perfect for Thanksgiving cheese slicing and baby food making. The setup was so easy and I put it all together in about 10 seconds. Love how modern and sleek it looks. And it works very well! I used it to puree some fruit and it works better than my blender! No chunks and very smooth consistency. I barely needed to push down the ingredients as they all went in easily. Also, very easy to clean. I barely had to scrub. This may be my new favorite appliance!

Besides being a beautiful machine it has so many options with the three blades included and large and small choices on the slicing blades. The instructions included in the booklet are clear and easy to understand. Everything was packed very well and it is so easy to use. The first day I received this I made pesto and the consistency was perfect. I also made salsa which was so easy and quick. Love slicing potatoes being they come out perfectly sliced. I found cleaning the machine wasn't difficult at all. Looks great on my counter and doesn't take up alot of room. Very happy with this food processor by Hamilton Beach.

Perfect food processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend this food processor. It is easy to use and easy to clean and it has great safety features. I like the slicer and shredder disk. It is so easy to cut up a cabbage for cooking or making slaw or kraut. 
I also like the dough making feature. It's good for making pizza dough and bread.

Wonderful food processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly this took me 20 min to figure out that it will not work without the food pusher. So read the instructions lol. I like the extra safety precautions, that it will not work until the lid is locked into place and the food pusher is in place. The cup is huge!!! Fits so much inside. It chops well and I like how it shreds, grates and even kneads dough. This food processor is strong and powerful.  The cup does not need to be twisted and locked into place like my last one. I'm so excited to use this more and definitely experiment with dough. All necessary attachments are included. Would definitely recommend

Works great!

The chopping feature is not as effective as I thought, it made my potatoes into a mushy paste. Slicing and shredding worked great with a variety of veggies. I am sure with more practice I will have better results.

Easy to use processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach 12 C Stack & Snap Food Processor comes with disks and blades for various purposes.  It has a disc blade that fits on the top of the bowl for slicing and shredding, a metal-edged blade that sits on the bottom of the processor to chop or grind; and a plastic blade that is less sharp, to make dough.  I used the dough blade.  The blade is bell shaped at the bottom where it sits on the center rod, so the formed dough got stuck in the bell part of the blade, and I had to scoop out the dough.  The dough also was pushed to the bottom of the container, and didn't get mixed well, because the lowest blade doesn't scoop and mix the contents fully, because the blade is not low enough.  The center rod that the blades and disc are attached to is long and thin; therefore the center of the blades should be made to fit that rod, snugly, without unnecessary space.  It is relatively quiet.  The box states that the feed tube is a “Big Mouth”; however, it is only 2.25 inches at its widest diameter and awkwardly shaped as a half-circle.  Anything larger than 2 inches should be cut down, so it is not “big,” as stated.  It has a food pusher with holes in it that are open at the top, but sealed at the bottom, which make it difficult to clean.  The pusher has a central hole with a smaller clear, plastic food pusher that has an opening about 1.5 inches and is 4.5 inches long.  The clear pusher has 2 tinier holes, through which oils may be added to form sauces.  The clear pusher is difficult to clean because of the small diameter.  It would need a long-handled brush, which may scratch the plastic, to reach to the bottom.  There are inner enclosed springs, which help to secure the lid and make pushing food through the feed tube easier.  They are also difficult to clean, and may trap debris and soap.  It is a fair product, because of its awkward design, that does not doesn't really accommodate whole foods, unless they are less than 2.25 inches in diameter.  It does not do a great job at mixing flour for dough.  For those reasons, I do not recommend the product.
