First, the good:  It's inexpensive, pretty, and when it works it's fabulous.  The writing is easy, crisp, both nibs give the width change I would expect (I like the fine nib for normal writing and the broad nib for calligraphy or languages with thin and broad strokes in their basic lettering).  No, it doesn't have the weight or feel of an expensive fountain pen, but I wouldn't expect it to, because it's a *cheap* fountain pen.  
Now the bad: It only writes about 1/3 of the time, making it completely useless as a pen.  I would write a sentence, then the ink would stop flowing for a paragraph.  Then it would flow for another sentence or two, then it would stop for another 3 to 4 sentences.  Dipping the tip of the nib in water does restart the ink flow, but that dilutes the water-based ink and I'm writing in grey instead of black.  Which is a pain not only for the quality and visibility of my writing, but the purpose of a fountain pen vs older pens was that holding the cartridge meant you didn't *have* to be dipping your pen all the time to have it work.  I would like this basic functionality in any fountain pen I buy, regardless of the price point.  I rated it at 2 stars instead of 1 because I can give it to my toddler to teach her how to use fountain pens, but that's probably the best use I can come up with for this pen.
Disappointing, because it is really a very nice pen when it works.

Inconsistent ink flow :(

The ink flow stops every other sentence.  I know how to use and care for a calligraphy pen and this one is awful.

Do not buy

Spend a little more-maybe you'll get something that actually writes. This pen (with either tip) goes from thick, very bold lines to no line at all. Truly an inferior pen.

You sure do get what you pay for.....
