The pleasant surprise and cherry on top is the hinged lid that snaps shut over the sharpening holes. This keeps any remnants of lead dust and shavings from slipping out.

I'm very pleased with this economical and quality purchase.

Always have loved the quality of this sharpener; however a bonus this year is that buying it at WalMart as opposed to my neighbourhood stationery store has resulted in a lot more cash in my wallet!  Thank you WalMart!

This has to be my favourite pencil sharpener. The pencils tips don't break off when they pencil is sharp enough. My kid loves this one for school as well and I have had parents ask where I got it from so they can get one for their child
