[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this set! I really like that the pens and pencils come in various thicknesses. They feel like high quality and are perfectly pigmented for sketching. They feel so comfortable in my hand. I love how well they blend, and how smooth they glide on paper. This set even comes with a sharpener and eraser which is so convenient. This makes sketching so easy and fun. Definitely a set that's perfect for both amateurs and more advanced artists. I couldn't recommend it any higher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencils are nice different sizes some small some big and they blend well my granddaughter loves to draw so this was perfect. The sharpener is perfect. The eraser works well doesn't tear the paper.

This is a great beginner to advance set to draw and sketch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect artist set for gifting. It has everything you need to draw the perfect sketch in black and white. The grip on each pencil is superb. Easy to hold providing optimal balance. I am happy to say these provide consistent results every time I use them.

Fantastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pens and pencils are very durable and high quality. There are two pencil sizes and 3 different pen sizes. They have a very smooth and easy to handle design, and there is an eraser and pencil sharpener included. The art set comes inside a tiny plastic container that snaps shut, making storage and cleanup easy.

The art set is very durable and of very high quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph 12 piece sketch set is portable and practical. The pencils have great handling and leave a quality detail to any drawing!

Great and smooth sketch set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These lightweight, smooth to write with and very durable art set is a great starter kit!! The lead is very strong and if you need a quick sharpen..the sharpener works like a charm!

Smooth and clean design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great drawing set. The pencils were smooth and easy to erase as long as you don't draw too dark. It goes nicely so makes it great for shading. They feel very durable so I don't need to worry about the tip breaking off I draw too hard! The kit comes with everything you need. It would've been nice if it came with a pouch or case so we can travel with them easier.

Very smooth and durable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my daughter, an art student, try this sketching set. She tested shading, lettering, and line art with all the different levels of hardness and tip width. The figures on the right of the image are drawn mostly with the 2H pencil, a moderately hard graphite that she found light enough for initial linework. Unlike other 2H pencils she has tried, this one made a visible line on the paper immediately. It did not feel waxy at the tip, nor did it make an imprint or scratch in the paper's texture. It was easy to erase (the eraser was firm but malleable), which indicated that it sat on the surface of the paper rather than settling into a groove in the fibers. While being tractable, it also did not easily transfer from the paper to her hand, so she was able to draw comfortably without smudges. She then made a close-up portrait, starting with the same 2H pencil and then trying the H and 4B pencils. Just as before, the 2H pencil made perfect line art, and instead of making an unsubtle dark mark or the graphite crumbling into pieces, the H and 4B pencils produced soft, buildable shades for the hair and skin. She was able to gently contour the facial shading even with 6B and 8B - these pencils respect a light touch but allow for deep darks also. The hair came out beautiful as well, and she made tiny but visible texture marks in the hair and wrinkles on the skin using the 4H pencil. Using the pens for lettering was lovely. She used the 0.5 mm tip first. Though not a calligraphic pen, she found that she could vary the width of the line with the angle she used. Extending the lines with shapes made inside the letters was a smooth process, with no “stubs”, and the 1.0 mm tip was perfect for filling in these shapes. The 0.3 mm created crisp cursive letters on the top right. Most significantly, she found that the ink dried rapidly and did not leave marks on her hands. Overall, this is a high-caliber sketching set - inexpensive enough for a hobbyist, but with no clear reduction in quality from luxury sets.

Reasonably priced, high-quality, subtle pencils and pens

Perfect as a charcoal drawing pencil format. It’s a nice memory to someone in retirement... to gently have a good time.

Beautiful set of charcoal. We need to add 1 notebook.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this set in exchange for my honest review.

I like everything about this set except for the eraser. The pencils feel great in my hand when sketching. You can feel and see the quality of the pencils. They glide across the paper.

The eraser tends to smudge more than erase.

High quality set
