It's 3 dimensional so it's easier to grasp but basically, it's a ruler. Not much too elaborate on.

Not much to say about a ruler

This architect's scale is accurate as described, colorful, packaged well, arrived on time with usable instructions.  I have studied architectural drawing and made professional blueprints.  This scale is just right for teaching beginners.The order was perfect!
