[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these pencils! They are easy to use and guide so nicely. They are easy to grip while coloring so they work for all ages. There was no fall out while coloring. The colors are very vibrant. Overall I really enjoyed these especially over other brands.

The color is a gorgeous light wash of color, true watercolor pencils and they're comfortable to use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The texture is great on these pencils. I love how they feel since they are triangle shaped and they fit perfectly in your hands. The weight of these are light and they are such a great value! They are portable too for long trips!

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grip is amazing on these. They are triangle shaped which really helped with the grip! I did have to push harder for the pigment depth(sharpness) I wanted and these really held up. The lead did not break so they are made strong. They are similar in weight to map pencils with no dust left after coloring. I did not notice any smearing and because of this I will be using these in my classroom when I am teaching social studies.

Easy to hold and great color quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an artsy 7 year old who I thought would enjoy these. We colored a rainbow with the pencils and went over the pencils with a wet paintbrush. We did not have water color paper so we used lightweight cardstock. Overall we liked them, but at her age I think she prefers just watercolor paints. I think more advanced artists who understand blending and drawing would appreciate this product a lot!

Neat product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Staedtler Watercolor pencils are the best. I wish I could show you a before and after but I was able to doodle on my notepad because it helps me relax then I added a wet paintbrush to blend out the pigment of my sunset picture and the effect was so amazing. I never knew I could have a watercolor affect in a pencil. These pencils are smooth and they allow me to glide my drawing hand with ease. I am a new fan of these pencils. They are going with me everywhere so I can be doodle ready and I can always blend later or I can choose to leave my picture as is. I love how versatile these are.

Watercolor magic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These watercolor pencils are everything I expected. You draw and color just like a typical colored pencil and once you brush over with water it resembles a water colored painted picture. In my image I just used computer paper. A thicker multimedia paper would have worked better. It's an easy way to make a little art!

A Simple Way to Make Art

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of the pencils came very sharpened out of the box (except for one) which was amazing! 

They are smooth to color with, however, you do need to put some elbow grease if you want the colors to really stand out. I would say they're a good starter coloring pencil, hence the 4 stars! 

The color variety was great as well, all the traditional colors :)

Starter Pencil

The marks they leave are easily smoothed along with a paintbrush after making line work much easier in painting. The colors are vibrant and the tips sturdy they don't just melt along. Their size is like a standard pencil. I'd say they're a good value brand.

Mid tier watercolor pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly surprised by how smooth these pencils felt. They went on the paper really nicely, and while the colors looked light at first they are still very pigmented if you add a little more pressure.
Once I activated them with water, they blend together beautifully. The colors softened really well and were easy to work with making it simple to build nice gradient and smooth shading. 
One tip I give is to start with a light hand. It's much easier to build up your darker shadows after adding water and letting the paper dry than it is to remove too much pigment.
The only downside I noticed is that regular paper doesn't handle the water very well, obviously, after a while the surface starts to peel and the texture gets little rough. I definitely recommend using watercolor or mixed media paper if you plan on using these watercolor pencils, or well activating them with water. If you plan to just use them as regular color pencils any paper will work fine.￼
