Bought this lamp for my daughter and she loves it. It's just as the picture shows it and the shade is particularly attractive. It's an eye catcher for sure. I will be buying another one to match it as she's decided to put it in her living room.

Just what I was looking for

I bought this lamp after looking at it for 2 days and reading the previous reviews. I found it a little pricey, but other sites were no cheaper. and it looked like a very nice piece. It arrived within 5 days of my purchase. The packing box it came in was average cardboard, but the lamp itself and the shade were packed well and it arrived without any damage. The horse and base of this lamp are well crafted and it is a beautiful sculptured piece that is not plastic, but it could break easily if not handled with care. The lamp shade is very nice too. I am very pleased with it and I just bought another one for my granddaughter to have at her house to place on her school work desk.  I suppose I can use a 60 watt bulb, but I only want the lamp for a bedside table light, so I will be using a 40 watt.  As a caution, I would not try to pick up this lamp with one hand to carry it, use two. The many angles of the sculpture would make it unsteady to try to balance with one hand and holding the neck of the lamp by itself, may not be able to fully support the base.  The lamp shade sits a tad low so you cannot fully see the top of the horse's head if you walk into a room, but situated eye level on a dresser, seated at a desk, or if it's placed on a bedside table while you read in bed, you can see it easily.  It is a very nice piece.  I am very pleased with it, just wish it wasn't so pricey.

Pricey at $89, but a beautiful horse sculpture.

Unlike the other reviewer, please be advised that you are not getting what is pictured.  First of all, the write up indicates that the lamp will take a 60 watt bulb.  According to the light-bulb base, you can only have a 40 watt bulb max.  This lamp also does not turn on/off like normal lamps where that switch is on the base of where the light bulb goes.  Also, you may not get a complete, unbroken horse.  Our horse had a broken leg and even glued together, it is obvious that it is no longer one piece.  For the price of this lamp, whoever broke the leg when boxing the lamp should have sent a perfect horse.  Having paid this price, we are deeply disappointed.  Just beware of what you are actually going to get,
