It is excellent for beginners as it lacks strength in tension.  the foot supports are made of a cheap material which does not give stability.  but it can be used as a basic training equipment

The rower is durable and works great. It is smooth, quiet and comfortable to use. The only issue, the velcro strap on foot pedals difficult to adjust, to close to the machine. Also, the instructions for the monitor could better explained.

Difficult to secure feet when the seat slides all the way back. I drilled a pin hole and insert a trailer hitch pin to keep the seat in a more comfortable position to provide better access to the foot straps, then release to use the machine. Then everything is great for using the machine.

It was delivered in good shape and ahead of schedule.   Easy assembly but directions could be more precise.  As other reviews have stated, the maximum resistance is a little light for someone in good shape that wants a heavy workout.  Also, the foot pedals are a pain because the velcro straps are so sticky, that it is difficult to undo them when you are sitting on the moveable seat.  For someone with back and neck problems, like me, it is impossible to get your feet in and strapped down properly and also impossible to remove the velcro to get your feet out.   I tried many changes to the straps, but found nothing helped.   Ii ended up solving both issues, the need for more resistance, and the dreaded foot straps with one addition for the unit.......I built a wooden step to raise the rear of the device approximately 8" off the floor so that when sitting on the seat, you now slide forward.  This gives you more resistance with the added body weight and eliminates the need for the straps.   In fact, I removed the pedals entirely and left only the bar which I now use to push against.   You don't need the straps to pull back, you just naturally roll back.  The whole process feels more fluid and natural.  To try it, just put some temporary block under the back end to see how it feels.
