had one exactly like this one but it was stolen from my apartment while I was in the hospital several months ago. It is such a comfortable handle. Ergonomically correct. The brand name alone says it all.

This is a great knife and it works well. I have had it for at least 10 years. I cannot understand why people give this a bad rating. Blade changes are very easy. Extend the blade fully past the last locked position. Press the yellow button (which will be extended) and the blade slides out EASILY and a new blade slides in easily. This is a large knife and it is easy to hold and the grip on the underside has a raised texture. The blade storage is easy to access as well. If you were to need many blades at hand for a job, this would be a good choice. I think that it would be good if a video was linked to the product description to help show how this knife works.

I have 2 of these.  One works great.
The other binds up and has trouble retracting the blade.  I have to push the point of the blade into a hard surface to get the blade to retract. 

This review page wil not let me type in a full title even though it says 48/50 maximum!!!!   Plus it says my nickname is already taken up!!!   It is mine!!!    More IT problems....

I have two of these. One doesn't retract

I like the feel when holding this knife. However, the lever that retracts the blade is difficult to use. I had to take  knive apart and lubricant to get it to work. Also replacement of blades is  not a easy operation.  I probably would not buy this item again.

There is no video that shows how to use this thing. Nothing I do opens it up or gets rid of the cardboard attachment that comes with it. I don't wanna destroy it cause I wanna take it back if it doesn't work right

Stanley instant change utility knife 10–7 88

Bought this for work.  I have another companies version of the quick change utility knife for home but this store did not carry that companies products, so this was the closest thing that they had.  Sorry that I compromised.  The quick change button really doesn't work well on this knife.  After fumbling for about 15 minutes trying to get the blade in, I took it apart.  That is just as difficult but at least I could get the blade in.  Using the button to get the blade out is okay but for some reason the blade will not go back in with the button.  I would not buy this again and I would not recommend this either.  I would with the other companies product.

I have no idea if it is a good product or not. I have wasted a lot of time trying to load the blade and continually trying to manipulate the blade manually is not safe. There are no instructions. This is definitely not an improvement in design. I wish I kept the receipt to return it.

Not impressed

ONCE YOU GET IT OUT OF THE PACKAGE (would be ok if it was just paper), requires another utility knife and small Swiss Army Knife scissors to open - It is an ok knife with a short razor blade clearance.  Not as good as older models and really not that easy to change out blades. It does hold 3 extra blades if you can get the holder open.

TERRIBLE PACKAGING/ FRUSTRATING

Impossible to follow directions to get blades out. I would give it no stars if possible. What is black button in back used for. Apparently nothing. Most useless tool I have ever purchased. Would return if I could remember where I got it. Black triangular insert fell off in process and can't get it back on.
