[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down my favorite framing tape measure. The hook will grab whatever you point it towards. Only complaint is the hook is starting to pop off. I cant seem to do without it though so I just snap it back on and carry on.

Bought 2 of the 25' auto-lock measuring tapes; one for me and one for my son. Worked great for a short period. A really great idea if the function held up. I expected it to weaken over time, but it didn't last "till the water got hot" for me or my son's tape. Gone back to regular manual lock. I don't have any complaints about the tape measure other than the auto-lock, which is what inspired me to buy this one over the others.

This tape is only being used for a home renos and only has had normal use.
I just emailed customer service, we'll see how they respond
So far I don't recommend

Bad locking feature

The product fails to perform two important functions of a tape measure.  First, the interchangeable end piece falls off occasionally, especially when measuring lengths towards the end of the tape.  Second, the auto-lock feature is useless as it won't keep the tape in place without collapsing.  These two shortfalls has caused me to dump the tool into a junk drawer and use a better quality Stanley tape.  Instead, I now use the Fatmax Extreme 25' (model 33-890).

Poor performance.

The cheap plastic locking lever broke on the first use.  Really disappointed!
