[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 17" off set ripping chisel is a useful little tool.  The finish is what you would expect and the weight is ideal in this size of tool.  The offset head helps you to maneuver into different angles more than a traditional chisel.

Great features

The bar is small enough to fit in my box but strong enough to do a fine job of prying or ripping when needed.  The yellow color makes it easy to find also.

Handy ripping bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is good for the toughest demo work.  stronger than the thinner bars and the thin edge will slip into a crack or under a nail easier.   It is as strong as a regular crowbar but easier for small places.   i have bent the flat wrecking bars but you would need a truck to bend this one.

heavy duty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to remove some old studs in the attic and had some large nails to remove. This Stanley Ripping Chisel was the perfect tool for that work. I was putting in a new door and had to widen the space and double stud the sides.

While Stanley's trademark color is yellow, I also consider the color a safety feature that allows me to easily spot this tool on the ground and not step on it by accident.

GOOD SIZE AND SHAPE FOR PRYING

Not only is this thing the amazing quality and strength that I love from Stanley, but the design is unbeatable. The 90 degree angle, combined with the 17 inch length, provided a great amount of leverage and ease for me to use quick and effectively. (I am 6'3) With this tool, I was able to rip apart a pallet in about ten minutes. This tool was very effective in helping me to complete necessary clean up on the job site in a timely manner and without extra strain.

Great angle for leverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put this tool to work right away. Combination wrecking bar, nail puller,and chisel. With just this bar and a lump hammer I was able to remove the old shingles and 1/2” plywood from my woodshed. The 90 degree bend gives great leverage and the offset allows the tool to lay flat to get into tight spaces. This made ripping up the shingles a breeze. An added bonus is the bright yellow paint which makes finding it a lot easier when you drop it or set it down.
