I love this product except placement of the outlet part should be at the bottom to make it more streamlined but I've used it for several years at Christmas and so nice that it works right out of the box every season.  But I cannot find them anywhere!  Other units may not have the button which means there's no programming at first, which is maybe easier, but you also don't have an on/off button on the unit, which I found handy if the remote isn't close

Excellent But CAn't Find It Anymore

I just came on the site to look for pairing instructions and thought I'd leave a review for this product. I bought this set 3 years ago and have been using them and they've never let me down.

 I have 2 of the plugs outside and and one indoors. I'm actually surprised they've lasted because I live in northern Alberta, Canada and they have been exposed to temperatures from -40 to +35 Celsius as well as rain snow and ice. I don't even think they're supposed to be for outdoors but I had one of them attached to an extension cord connected to Christmas lights for an entire winter buried in snow and covered in melted water from ice, it always worked. Although probably not a safe thing to do, it's pretty remarkable.

They range is excellent I can activate it from about 50 feet away through a window and walls to the outside plugs and from close range through a second level or rooms on the opposite end of my house.

I've also never had to change the batteries in the remote, I don't even know what size batteries it has to be honest. I'm not constantly using the remote but I do use it every day at least once or twice. 

I had another Stanley wireless remote plug that had only one plug and it was green in colour that I gave to a family member and he says his works just as good.

Has worked great for 3 years now

Although purchased 2 years ago, just activated transmitter & one of the 3 units. One fam. house, concrete block, drywall on light steel studded walls throughout.  After reading two negative reviews, felt only fair to provide a "++" one.  Keeping remote at base of desk-lamp (which is otherwise difficult to turn on / off).  Working fine entering day 4 of operation, but just went to every farthest point reachable in house (antenna fully closed), even aiming at exterior walls.  Maybe the type of construction has a positive influence on this product.  At any rate, it's working the way I'd wanted, & hope it continues so I don't have to eat my words. Please publish in entirety, or not at all. For now, thank you for a great home aid.

Works in my situation

I have been using these remotes for quite some time.  Started off with one (to try it out) and now have a total of seven in the house.  I have always preferred lamps to overhead lights.  The control hangs on a pin on the door jamb.  Before entering the room I have only to reach up and lightly touch the button.  VOILA!  When the batteries are getting low I sometimes have to "point" the remote at the plug where the control is connected in order to properly activate it.  Its a reminder that its time to change the battery.  I appreciate this technology very much.   It provides exactly the feature I was looking for.

Took out of the package and that was the best part of the whole thing, after that it went down hill. Nothing paired up nothing worked. Cheap crap, just not cheap to buy. Save your money

Stanley remote garbage

Bought two sets of these a couple years ago and found even with brand new batteries they do not work very well.  Seem to turn of fixtures just fine but on some switches unless the antenna from the remote is actually touching the switch, it will not turn off.   Not exactly what I had in mind.  Have have decided to go to a wifi based product using Alexa.  More expensive but does exactly what I want.
