So, I replaced it with this 6” heavy and sturdy gate hook. Easy to install. It latches securely! I appreciate that it is zinc plated so will resist rust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just the perfect safety gate hook!  It is very well made, sturdy and easy to use.  I like the fact that it will resist corrosion.  If you have animals (like a big smart grand-dog like I do) this gate hook will work great!!  No escapees…lol!   

My husband did the installation and he said it was no problem, and the install was easy .  The whole process took him about 30 minutes!  I can recommend these.
