This is the biggest disappointment in recent history for me. The biggest issue is battery life, or lack thereof. It takes hours and hours of charging to get a few minutes of use. The three folding light segments are the first to shut off when the battery gets low, that is the warning to get it back on the charger. Speaking of the three lights, when they are flipped up they create a very top-heavy object that refuses to stand up on a flat surface. Finally, the power switch itself is in a poorly thought out position, it is in the handle. Every time I pick up the light while using it, I turn off the lights Im using and have to cycle back through all the settings. I really had high hopes for this light but its been a let down. One of the suggested uses for this light is for an emergency while traveling, I would not rely on this to function for more than a few minutes before the battery goes flat. There are other lights on the market, so do your comparison and find something better.

The fold-out floods were nifty and very bright, the flashlight was brighter than expected and the 90º tilt was handy! The button order that needs to be pressed to switch from charging to charger was a bit confusing. This light worked awesome for about a week, then the controller PCB fried and the light would no longer charge. Perhaps the confusing button order was more confusing than I thought? I contacted the manufacturer (NOT Stanley, they just license the name) and they were happy to offer a replacement/refund but I ended up scavenging parts from it and repurposing them  for my own projects.

IMPRESSIVE!....until it wasn't.

I purchased the item due to having at least 2 blackouts a year and with my age finding something that will last and light up the room and still charge a cellphone is why I fell in love with the Stanley 600 Lumens LED Satellite Rechargeable Work Light. The only thing that I'm concerned about is the quality of the body of it. I assumed it would be some type of alloy but instead it is made of plastic. So one good drop and it would be no good anymore.

Buyer beware! I bought one of two that didn't work at all! Would not charge. Stuck with a dud!  I had bought another, thinking about  back-up for car and just opened the package yesterday to find, NONE of the screws were in the flash light and it cannot stay together without! Horrible quality control from factory! Open package immediately and inspect if you purchase! Not Stanley quality! I had bought one years ago which was perfect!  2/3 failure...

I love it. However, if you want to get really picky, there are a few minor things one could complain about. The on off button is easy to turn on and run the battery down due to it being   where the handle is. The usb port could be 2 amps instead of 1 amps. The magnet could be stronger, the satellites when extended could swivel and the cord that comes with it could be much longer. REMEMBER, THIS IS BEING REALLY PICKY about the product. I've already bought two as gifts, and i WILL buy more!!! Like I said, it's a MUST HAVE especially at the price for what it can do! Fully charged....it Will blind you. And puts the light right where you need it to be!!!

A Must Have

Love the design and practicality of this light. Bought husband, son and myself each one for Christmas last year.  Husband initially didn't think he needed one but ended up using it a lot. However in October the switch quit working. Took it to Walmart, where I bought it, and they gave him a new one.

Very useful and practical

I got this flashlight to replacement. I looked at several before choosing this one. It is so bright and does more than I expected. It would be great for anyone on your gift list.

Awesome!

This light is very bright and stays bright for hours. The hook is flimsy, magnet is weak , button is very sensitive and the fold out parts don't lock in.

Bright light

It has one flaw in that the power button cycles through every possible light setting.   There should be an option to turn it on and off in the desired mode without having to go through all the various other modes to get the light to go out. Other than that it's a pretty nice light.

One flaw

This is a great light when it works.  After about a year it first would not turn off and then would not charge.   An online search suggests it is either a bad battery sensor or bad software.   One fix is to open it up, unplug the small 4 pin white connector, and re-plug to reboot.   If that doesn't work they say you can cut or remove the white and grey wires to this connector.   This may create a safety/charging issue so I am not recommending this fix.   Stanley should either recall, fix or document a known common problem with this product.
