[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first grabbed this hammer I couldn't believe it was a 14oz hammer. This thing felt solid and swung like a 24 oz beast. The ergonomics of the handle really set this apart from some of my other hammers, and the magnetic nail holder/starter is just a great little bonus. The head has some very aggressive knurling, which I love on a hammer like this. I used to be an Estwing guy, but I'm definitely going to be switching up to DEWALT, they have seriously upped their hammer game.

It seems to drive nails easier than some of my heavier framing hammers. I don't have any issues pulling nails or ripping boards out with the claw.

Hits like a sledge, feels lighter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this hammer for less then a month and I love it. The handle is slim, feels perfectly in the hand. Ribbed hammer head allows for easy manipulation of the nails. It also has a magnet in the head to start the nail if you want to use it. At 14 oz. it is light enought to swing all day with very little fatigue. I also want to mention that the swings definitely hit harder then 14 oz. I would recommend this hammer.

I built my friends kids a shed/clubhouse well most of it went up with a nail gun but I decided to test this hammer on this project so I put up 2 walls with it. IT WAS AMAZING easy on my hand and a lot of force. the nail pickup magnet didn't always pickup the nail in the right direction but it's not terrible but I don't see it as a major feature.

Best hammer ive used so far even the guys in the crew like it . holding up well to all day every day abuse after over a year. Milled face just starting to smooth out but thats after a lot of 6 inch gal nails and bridge deck spikes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a well built, sturdy, and large hammer. Very impressed by the weight to size ratio and how well built it feels. The magnet and slot for holding a nail in place is a new feature for me, and one that helps improve workflow a ton!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it feels good, not to heavy but perfect to strike  down super nailed 2x4's. A bit different from the wood hammers I use but it feels strong in the hand and when you strike a nail it doesnt feel like its going to break, also the magnet to hold the nail is very good, i havent had a nail bounce off of it yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far seams like a solid hammer. I prefer wood California hammers but this hammer seams solid. The welds look good, the milled face is holding up well so far. The handle is very grip able, even when wearing gloves in the winter.

I have been using the 14oz DeWalt hammer for years now. This new model is a little lack luster compared to the last. Out of all the new model I have tried 70% of them vibrate more then the last model. This new model also has a smooth top where as the old model had 3 slots that helped prying in lumber.

New 140z model is not as good as the old model IMO
