[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up this hammer a few weeks ago as my previous Anti-Vibe hammer was starting to show its age after a few thousand nails.  This time around, I went with the slightly larger 28oz hammer - fewer hits is starting to mean something for me, especially when I helped my family put up a 40x80 pole barn.  The slight improvements all the way around should translate to a hammer I can use for many, many years.

It's very heavy but not too much so I can see myself using it for years to come. 28 oz framing hammer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hammer because I was working with 10ft height concrete forms and needed a hammer with a duplex nail starter (most hammers with nails starters won't work with duplex nails) and so far is the best hammer I've had. The weight is on the head and has a perfect balance for a great swing. Of course I can put nails at 10ft high with the nail starter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They say why try to reinvent the hammer but Stanley definitely improved it. The larger striking surface is nice. The magnetic nail starter works great to keep from smashing your fingers. It is a heavier hammer but with the anti vibration feature and the great balance of the hammer it isn't as noticeable. I will definitely be buying multiple hammers to have for work and home. Overall a great hammer.

Great hammer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not all hammers are equal.  You need a heavier one for framing but it has to be balanced just right or your arm can get tired swinging it.  Also get one with anti vibe so your hand doesn't hurt by the end of the day.  I'm in construction, not an engineer, so I can't tell you exactly how this hammer is made better than other brands,  it just is.  I have other, lighter hammers for different work, and this 28oz one swings as easy but hits harder, so I use it now more than the other ones I own.  Definitely recommend.

Well balanced
