Comfort

I had been searching for this hammer for a year, apparently it's discontinued and finally found one in a hardware store. I wanted a smooth face with a little more driving power than my 20 oz and this does not disappoint.  Something about these fatmax hammers, they perfectly fit my hand.

It's the perfect weight and requires very little additional force to drive in nails. The anti-vibe style is perfect for my hands as I have carpal tunnel and dequrvains tenosinovitis which causes weakening of the muscles in the hand due to over tightening. I'm so happy with this hammer and I know everyone else will be too, whether you're a professional framer or just a gal working around her house!

Comfortable while still being reliable and durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hammer a few years ago for myself.  Ive had many hammers but this one have become one of my favorite tools I own.   It feels good in the hand, never a thought of the possibility it could slip out when striking.  Because of it's solid forge design I never worry about over strike or possible defects. This is a well built hammer.  I also purchased the 28oz and 16oz rip claw.  Stanley hammers are known to be passed down from father to son, and son to grandson.  I own several Stanley hammers that my father and grandfather had.  They are showing their age.  These new FATMAX hammers I believe will stand the test of time. Sometimes a hammer is just a hammer and sometimes its a legacy waiting to be passed on. Hopefully my great great grand-kids will one day own these FATMAX hammers.

Solid Forged Hammer To Last

I think this hammer has been with me about 15 years. One of the few tools that have stayed with me for that amount of time. I own about 6 or 7 hammers and I still use this one the most. A tool to me is like your favorite pair of jeans or favorite pistol or fishing rod, sometimes you can't really pinpoint the reason why it's your favorite or go to, it just is!!

Never had to replace

The handle grip is comfortable and it doesn't wear out your arm while using it. The anti vibration is a huge plus. I would recommend this Stanley hammer to anyone looking to upgrade. It is Stanley quality through and through, you will not regret having it in your toolbox or shop. It is built strong enough that it will be handed down to your grandchildren.

22 oz FATMAX® Anti-Vibe® Framing Hammer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my FatMax framing hammer a year ago this month and as far as I'm concerned I will never buy another brand or type of framing hammer, when I need another or different size claw hammer period it will only and always be Stanley or Stanley FatMax brand hammers. This 22oz hammer is the most well balanced, ergonomic fit hammer I've ever put in my hand. I'm just a home DIY guy not a pro or anything, my main occupation is emergency healthcare, but do a lot around the house and have a need very often for my hammer. I can't find anything that a claw hammer is the go to tool, that this particular hammer doesn't excel at. Don't be afraid to buy one you will not be disappointed!!

Best hammer I've used
