[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE THIS TAPE MEASURE! The fractional measurements make reading it so much easier. Not to mention if you have someone helping you, less chances for errors. The magnetic tip holds on to anything. Even through drywall, it grabbed onto the corner bead. Not a huge fan of the tape release being on the bottom, as I have accidentally released the tape. But in the right scenario, it's also nice to be able to push down on the tape and have it retract. Overall, couldn't be happier with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tape measure recently and I truly wish I'd had it all along. The magnetic tip is a game changer and the numbers are large enough to read from distance. Good heft to the product so it feels sturdy and the tape is strong. Add that to the Leverlock and I expect this will be my go-to tape measure from here on out.

The only (minor) negative I would note is that the magnetic tip could stand to be a touch stronger but I think it's more than adequate.

Wish I Had This Earlier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the short time I've had the 25 ft. Magnetic Tip & Fractional Read LEVERLOCK® Tape Measure it has become my all time favorite measuring tape. It is a significant improvement on previous designs. It's fairly compact and is easy to remove from tool apron pockets. The retraction mechanism is controllable and foolproof. The strong magnetic tip holds on securely, allowing me to extend the tape the full 25 feet, which is the way I expected the tool to work. The wonderful bonus is that the magnetic tip allows me to use the tape measure as a small parts retriever. The first time I used the tape, I retrieved a phillips #2 screwdriver from behind an appliance where it had fallen. The strong magnet latched onto the screwdriver and easily fetched the errant tool for me. It kept me from leaving the screwdriver behind or needing to move the laundry equipment in order to retrieve it. I lay the tape measure on work surfaces where the magnet corrals screws and nails. Very useful. Well done, Stanley.

Innovative feature set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ABS frame feels durable, yet lightweight and it's very easy to grip without accidentally pressing the release to retract the tape. I LOVE the LeverLock tape measure. The lever lock type doesn't require sliding a brake button to keep the tape extended; you simply extend however much tape you need, and it stays out until you press the retract button and the spring pulls it back in. Nice thick steel with a good coating; I can extend the tape 8-10 feet before it folds from it's weight. The fractional scale and markings are exceptionally well printed and easy to read and the yellow paint feels like it won't flake off easily. 
If you need a tape measure for woodwork, building, crafts and around the house I wouldn't hesitate on buying this tape measure. Absolutely worth the price.

Excellent quality, great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work mostly with wood, both in the shop and out in the field.  Rarely do I need to measure anything beyond 25 ft. So this tape is the perfect size for an all day carry, either in my tool belt or easily on my pants belt.  I have never had a problem with figuring out the fractional increments of an inch but I do think it's nice that Stanley put them on this tape.  Also, the magnetic end is handier than I initially thought it would be.  If I worked with metal more regularly, I'd probably get more use out of it, but sure does come in handy when I'm on top of a 10-12 foot wall and I drop something metallic on the ground. It's a pretty strong magnet on the end of the tape.  Overall, a great tape.  Only one negative is that it doesn't have as far as a “standout” ad the Stanley 25' fat max (about 10')  this tape has a standout of about 6.5'. No big deal, sometimes it just nice shoot your tape out 10' to the end of a board or wall.

Solid tape with smart features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tape measure is solid. Love the fractions and the magnetic end. The spool seems really rough and it doesn't reel in or out with ease. Might just need to use it more to break it in. Still does the job just fine!

Good, not great

After the first couple of times using it the magnet fell off and the lever lock stop holding the tape. Going back to Stanley's tried and true Powerlock.

Not Stanley's usual quality tape.

Since new, it never retracted easily. I had to help it. Then, when trying to measure the full length of the tape, instead of unwinding, the tension spring snapped. When I looked inside, the tension spring was held in place by a tiny fragile plastic peg.

Bad from the start.
