This is a recent purchase so I don't know about reliability yet. It works very well. I did spray Pam onto the surface to prevent sticking and that worked really well.

It is easy to use and makes a nice, even patty without much trouble. I flattened the hamburger mixture to make them thinner. Clean-up is easy as it is dishwasher safe.

Overall for the price, I think it is very satisfactory.

This works perfectly. I had some 4X4 inch squares of parchment paper, and put one on bottom and one on top. No mess,, and very fast.

Just what I wanted

I bought this for my daughter, when she went away to college. I own one and had it for years. It simplifies the process, so I thought she would like one too.

Better than sliced bread

Easiest and fastest way to make patties,right size for my burgers.

It works.

I suggest spraying Pam on the top of the paddle and the bottom of the press.

This is our second press from Starfrit.  The first one broke after years of use where the press handle meets the flat base.  Easy to clean and makes the perfect sized burger.  If this one goes we will likely order another.

This is perfect for making hamburgers, salisbury steak right size. This is my second one and getting ready to order another. Cut out over half labor cost. I am very pleased.

Hamburger Press

I was looking forward to getting this, to make even sized burgers and not have to handle the meat, too much. Unfortunately, after mixing the meat and placing it into the bottom portion, it stuck to the lift off part and I couldn't get it off, without ruining the burger. I tried spraying the pieces, with cooking spray, which helped a little, but the patties were still sticking and I had to use a spatula to loosen them. It was a pain in the neck. Next time I'll try just using the press portion, without putting the meat into the bottom portion and see what happens. It made nice size burgers, but you'll have to touch the meat, to reshape, after trying to get them off the utensil. Also, I was using chopped turkey, which is very soft, maybe it will work differently, with beef?
