This is the Cinderella when looking for a product that works. Had to go thru a lot of purchases and returns, but my Starfrit slider/dicer/chopper does it all without the major mess. I wanted something that I didn't have to clean up a big mess after cutting veggies and this fits the bill. Super easy cleanup! Super sharp blades (be careful)! Looks nice too.

I purchased the Starfrit Electric Mandoline and absolutely adore it! It makes chopping so much easier, especially for bigger batch items like soups and stews. Hashes are simple, and prep for salads for the week is great! While there are several parts, they are fairly easy to clean, most needing a quick wipe down and rinse, though I would urge caution for those with little ones to keep them away from the stored blades. I would suggest using bigger vegetables for a more consistent chop- meaning using whole carrots rather than baby, if you want things to look super perfect. I heard complaints about having to hold down the button to make it work, but that is not an issue for me. Somebody with arthritis might want to gently use their elbow instead, while they use their hands for feeding veggies into the machine. I tried, and it seemed to work just fine.  If there are any chopping issues, I would make sure that you check to see if you need to dump out the bowl underneath, as food pressure from below could slow down any appliance. I would recommend this product.

I love it!  It is easy to assemble. You need to fit lid correctly, or it won't work .It needs a push to get on and off. I am very pleased with this processor .

Great appliance cuts up vegetables almost any way you want, thin slices thick slices, julienne thin and thick, grate and best if all potatoes for hash browns

Wonder machine

If you do a lot of chopping, grating and have arthritis or pain in your hands and/or wrists this Starfrit Electric Mandolin will get the job done ✅ without the pain. My first effort was a cabbage salad. Grated carrots without grated knuckles and fast. A half a huge cabbage shredded in record time, much less mess, and onion diced neatly without smelly hands. All in the same 11 cup recepticle (Bin). A quick mix with your dressing and you're done. 
Very easy clean-up and it all fits inside the bin for easy storage. Just watch your fingers when changing blades!  I was terrified of using my manual mandolin. This is so

SAFE, PAIN-FREE ELECTRIC STARFRIT MANDOLIN!

I purchased this electric mandolin because I have hand problems and find it difficult to hold knives for chopping.  Unfortunately, the button on this takes a strong hand (mine are not) to push down and it has to be held down continuously for the machine to work.  It also has to be held down at an odd angle, too, to get the little safety pin to match and reach the 'on' mechanism down below and this took me a while to figure out how to get it going.  The food shoot is also of a certain size that requires some foods to already be pre-chopped to fit.  It did work really fast, though, and once I got it going I managed to fill the sizable container in just a couple of minutes --- it used to take me about a half hour of chopping to get the same amount done when hand-chopping.  It was a nice option that I could order it to be delivered.

Not finished

After reading such good reviews, I was very disappointed.  It was extremely difficult to lock the lid, which it won't run without, and also to put together the pieces.   They are all made of hard plastic and I was afraid of it breaking.  So I am not sure how long it will last before that happens.  Also, as per other reviews, only takes small-sized pieces of anything.
