Scale has come in very handy with my new nutrition program. I have to weight every thing I eat for the KCal values. If you need to use a container you can zero it to the tare weight. Very accurate.

Nutritional scales

I've used the kitchen scale several times now and I find it to work as promised. Working with recipe measurements is much easier. Having the substantial list of nutritional values of food is great. Fits nicely on the kitchen counter. I would recommend buying it.

Worth Purchasing

For me this is new. I don't understand the manual.  Yesterday I tried a pear and the carbohydrate was good. This morning, I place a plastic bowl with Cornflakes cereals in and nothing show!  Maybe it me that I don't know how to use the balance.

No reading for cerales

I was excited to get this scale as it is slick and affordable. I work as a dietitian with type I diabetics and I was excepting this to be very useful. The actual scale is nice, but unfortunately, I tried measuring various types of foods such as apples, pineapples, strawberries, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and more and the nutritional information was false. For example, the apple of 141 g would have 0g of carbs, 0g, of fiber and about 40g of both protein and fat. The almonds had only 2 grams of fat and 25g of carbohydrate, which is obviously false. I used the correct codes for all, but I believe that the data for the codes are wrong (but how to confirm?). 

I am also unsure about the carbohydrate button with the BE mention? Very little explanation for it. 

Anyways, I will be returning it not recommending it to my clients. It could lead to very inaccurate carbohydrate counting, therefore hypo or hyperglycemia.

Inaccurate

Initially, the balance worked quite well. But after just 2 months of average use (1x/dr), never exceeding the recommended max weight, she began to derail seriously. For example: it does not light up, and after 10 minutes of trying to light it, we put it in the drawer and ottoman it lights up. Then it's impossible to turn it off. Sometimes she goes to Viper for no reason, or else she goes out while we are weighing an article.. What a mistake I made when buying it :(

Don't waste your money

I'll try to keep this short. The buttons on this scale pick randomly what they want to do, sometimes swapping functions with other buttons. And that's when they decide to be responsive. If I could characterize any single electronic product as consistenly showing up to the job drunk, it would be this garbage.I'd be more accurate just holding an object in my hand and guessing the weight.

This is the first of two Starfrit scales I tried. Both were awful. Never going back to Starfrit again.

A good scale to buy if you want junk
