Ease Of Use

Edge Smoothness

Lacking clear usage guidance, requiring external resources.

Lacks sharpness after opening, may not be ideal for certain uses.

This is must have, would be great to have at a lower price.

Most other cheaper can openers make a mess, opening the lid from inside the flange leading to a lot of unclean cuts and burrs, the lid would fall inside too, making it unusable.

HOWEVER, this one opens from the flange outside crimp, having a neat trim and crinkle and even leaving the lid out for covering for later use.

I would say worth every penny, but couldve been cheaper the gimicky button holder is not needed and u can lever the opening up and down to lift the lid up. Overall,

Great . Superior Opening action 4m outside

This can opener is wonderful for someone that has arthritis in their hands as I do. I am very glad I found it, and would recommend it to any one that needs a good can opener.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and my Dad has bad arthritis, so grasping a regular can opener is a task. This one is so easy to use. Set it on, start turning...that simple. Once it's around, use the little gripper on the side to pop off the top. No more straining to hold a can opener, no more sharp edges, no more wasting any food in the can because of a lip, and no more torn spatulas! Very pleased and wish I bought one sooner. Even if you don't have hand issues, I recommend this can opener.

Very Good

Git what I asked for with this...No sharp edges on the lids! I haven't liked the sharp edges since my son cut his foot on one many, many years ago. I have grandchildren now & don't want them getting cut either. Love, love this can opener.

Great can opeber

After 10 years of use, I bought a second one. This product is excellent and safe

Excellent 5 star product

starfrit.com

This can opener is soooo easy to use once you get the hang of it! It just has the one handle which (apparently) is confusing to most people! :) However, it takes the lid off without leaving ANY sharp edges!!! LOVE this one!! We've had one of these for over 7yrs!!! Back to buy our 3rd! Gave the 1st one away (someone wanted it after seeing and using it at our place!) and this will be a 2nd for our place!

LOVE this opener!!!!

No Sharp Edges - Easy Hand Crank Can Opener....
Wow, I just ordered my Starfrit Crimax Auto Can Opener and I am very impressed so far. I prefer a hand crank over an electric can opener to help keep my hands nimble. I had trouble at first, getting it lined up properly. Once I figured it out, this can opener worked like a breeze. I am even more impressed as it left zero sharp edges on the lid and can. Wow! It did as advertised. Furthermore, this hand crank can opener is hefty and built real well. I'm totally impressed and now look forward to any can I need to open. I highly recommend this can opener. Would make great for those who RV, Camp or simply travel a lot too. I would definitely give this as a gift as well... yea its that nice.

NO Sharp Edges - Easy Hand Crank Can Opener - 5*

I love this. Once I figured out how to use it, it was easy. It turns easy unlike traditional can openers that hurt you hands to turn it. Our electric can opener was a pain to use. You had to line it up just right for it to cut the can and it was getting to where you had to try a bunch of times and it still would not cut so I tried this one and love it. It will also be great for camping or when power goes out. I do wish they had a video to watch online when you first are trying to figure out how to use it. That would be very helpful

Love this can opener

At first my girlfriend had problems trying to get the lid off. She was expecting the old style cutting on the top and had already tossed out the packaging. I tried myself and, after not being able to pull the lid off with my fingers, went online to check out the product info. After doing the research, I went back to the kitchen, turned the opener to the "lid removal tool" and voila, the lid just came right off! My girlfriend and I both have problem hands so this opener is a Godsend. It takes no effort to turn, locks itself into place, and opens the can basically without you even knowing it"s done. Read the directions first and you'll be fine, LOL.

Super product!

This is the Best of The Best can opener I have ever had, and I bought many, look no further get this one it is simply PERFECT. it is been three months and opens cans from the side so no cuts and you can put the cover back as a cover. Opens ever the square cans easily. Perfect design.

Perfect

Useless, very badly designed. You cannot get the can top off of the opener. I have to turn the can upside down with a bowl underneath to catch the ingredients and then pry if off. Or sometimes use my old opener with this one still attached to the can to try and open and remove the top..

Complete waste of money.

Starfrit "Securimax Auto" Can Opener centered front view of an automatic can opener with stainless-steel cutting assembly, soft-touch non-slip knob, integrated lid lifter and non-slip base; ergonomic, ambidextrous design with hands-free automatic gripping that leaves no sharp edges — place on top of a can and turn the knob to open. Often used for frequent home meal-prep tasks.
