I bought this item to make more grills than for paninis. On the first try, I chose steaks minutes to see the results. They were not seized as hoped but rather boiled. The grilles were really not hot enough. There was no mark of wire mesh as seen on the packaging of the device. On the second try I let the grill heat up a lot longer and the results were a little better but still far from what I was hoping for. Third try......to come??? - What?

On the first try, very disappointed.
