Camera does not retain date and time.  Pictures are not stored on disk in sequential order.  For the price this camera should perform much better

Poor technology

Not sure why this camera is getting low marks.  It's vastly superior to my older trail camera, 1/3rd the size, and both picture and video quality have been exceptional.   
The night time images have been stellar, the day time hi-res even better.  Keep in mind that nightime images will not be of the same quality as day time becuase of the same reasons regular cameras have... the F-stop/exposure and shutter speed.. still the same for digital cams.   Night time may be blurry during quick movement by the animal.  

First thing I did was update the firmware, so perhaps that may be the difference from what others are complaining about.   Buying through Walmart.com resulted in nearly a $100 off the price at Basspro or Cabela's, and the reviews on those sites are better than the ones posted here.    

This camera, at this cost, is a tremendously great deal.

Awesome videos Pictures and battery life The DS4K Is our go to trail camera

I have been using the Stealth DS4K since the spring of 2020. I love it! Easy to navigate menu. Excellent HD video (which is all I set it at because of file size for editing). But the real gem of this camera, is the Audio which is simply amazing. This camera even pics up sounds from behind the tree. Planning on purchasing a second one soon. Lots of samples on my channel NBMooselovers

DS4K "Fantastic Camera"

This unit is my goto camera. Running the unit on combo mode gives you the best of both worlds for capturing both photos and videos. I have had SD cards with over 10,000 photos. Extremely reliable, easy to use & you will enjoy like. I have has some of these now for over 2 years and they keep on working.

My Favorite Trail Cam

Night pictures were not as good as they should be for the price of the camera, regardless of the setting.

Love the combo mode you get a video and pictures with  excellent battery life
